The location is very strategic. As soon as you step out of the alley, you will find many supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and other popular places within walking distance. The price is also affordable for the area, which initially made this property quite attractive.
The room itself is spacious and well designed. I genuinely enjoyed my stay on the first day. Amenities are just okay. There is a hair dryer available, but no basic amenities provided in the room. You may need to request them separately.
However, a major issue occurred during heavy rain. The room became wet and extremely humid, not due to flooding, but because of poor drainage and moisture control. As shown in the photo, water streaks appeared on the interior wall, with visible damp patches and condensation marks running down the surface. The wall was clearly absorbing moisture, causing the room to feel uncomfortable, damp, and poorly ventilated.
Initially, the staff explained that this happened because the air conditioner was set to cooling mode. This explanation is inaccurate. I use air conditioning daily at home, and as an architect, I understand that this issue is caused by inadequate drainage, poor waterproofing, and improper moisture management in the building envelope, not by normal AC operation. The problem appears to be related to water infiltration and trapped humidity during heavy rainfall.
The property owner was accommodating and offered an alternative unit they own, which was farther away and cheaper than this property. In the end, we requested a refund. Unfortunately, this process happened late at night and took time, making the experience stressful and inconvenient.
