JJaneyyy89This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms.
Some noteworthy details:
- Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort.
- The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include:
(a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now!
(b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room
(c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C.
(d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
- Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them.
- We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away.
- We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2.
- Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too.
- We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests.
Areas of improvement:
- Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake.
- The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper.
- Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor).
Thank you Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu! We had a great stay here. Will definitely be back!

HHuichihuizhuhuiwanFamily! Who understands! After lying in bed for a day at the Nikko Hotel Chengdu Yixin Lake, I felt like I had been spoiled into a useless person! ! 🏨✨
I thought it was just an ordinary hotel with a high appearance, but I was taken advantage of as soon as I entered the door! The guy at the front desk smiled as if he had turned on a ten-level soft light filter. He stuffed me with a welcome drink before I even had my luggage. Was this service because he was afraid that I would be thirsty? 🥤
The room was even more outrageous! The floor-to-ceiling windows faced Yixin Lake. When I was woken up by the sun in the morning, I thought I had lived in the limited edition of the Sky City in Chengdu! The bathtub is big enough to hold a party, and the amenities are all high-end. After taking a bath, I felt so fragrant that I could play the role of a domineering president falling in love with me💃
I want to praise its breakfast! The triple buffs of Chinese, Western and Japanese are stacked, from spicy wontons to freshly cut salmon. Even I, who have trouble getting up, can get up two hours early for breakfast! What's even more outrageous is that there are panda-shaped desserts for afternoon tea, so cute that you can't bear to eat them🐼
There is a shopping mall downstairs. When you are tired of shopping, go back to the hotel to lie down, and when you wake up, go downstairs to enjoy hot pot. Who can not love this fairy-like life? ! Come to Chengdu and listen to advice! Stay here! I guarantee you will be so happy that you don't want to check out! ! [Laughing and crying R][Laughing and crying R]

GGuest UserMy standard room didn't come with a bathtub and felt a little cramped. It was difficult to fully open a large suitcase without encroaching on the window-side sofa area.
Breakfast wasn't included in the room rate, so I decided to try it once. At 88 RMB, I felt the price was fair, and the food quality was good. The *youtiao* (fried dough sticks) were crispy, and for *chaoshou* (wontons) and noodles, they offered both clear and spicy broths, along with a comprehensive selection of condiments – essential in Chengdu cuisine. I was particularly happy to find *Dan Hong Gao* (egg pancakes), available in both sweet and savory varieties.
I ordered room service for dinner. The steak was average, but the Dandan noodles were absolutely delicious.
Housekeeping was very prompt and kept the room spotless.
The smiling greetings from the floor staff were a genuinely pleasant touch.
The location is superb, right next to Tianfu Square and opposite the Chengdu Museum. I imagine some rooms would offer excellent views.
Getting to Shuangliu Airport was quick, about 30 minutes.

LLouloujiejieMy friends and I initially booked a family room for three people. When one friend had to cancel at the last minute, I contacted the hotel, and they kindly allowed us to switch to a twin room, which included breakfast and complimentary morning coffee and evening wine.
Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the hotel's unique ambiance. This building, originally a gas company's office in the 1980s, has been skillfully transformed by a designer into its current layout. It harmoniously blends various styles, creating a cohesive and pleasing aesthetic.
Our room was very quiet, well-equipped, and meticulously clean. The location is also incredibly convenient for exploring. The front desk staff were exceptionally thoughtful, offering helpful tips on local delicacies and other essential information. Even the housekeeping aunties were remarkably service-oriented. Overall, I felt genuinely cared for and deeply touched by their attentiveness.
The hotel offers a wide range of services, including breakfast and the complimentary morning coffee and evening wine. Even though these were complimentary, both the quality and service were outstanding. The breakfast featured a delightful blend of Western and Chinese options, and the morning coffee and evening wine were also distinctive and enjoyable. Our stay here was incredibly pleasant and relaxing, and I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chengdu.

GGuest UserThis year, I've stayed at three Marriott hotels. The one in Shenzhen received a negative review, and the one in Xi'an a positive one. This Chengdu Marriott landed somewhere in the middle – I didn't have much interaction with the hotel's service, so I won't comment on its quality.
These days, staying at a high-end chain hotel often means a personal butler will connect with you (usually via WeChat) to proactively check on your needs, but this Marriott didn't offer such a service. What's more, the facilities felt quite dated; it's a hotel that's over ten years old, and the bathroom sink faucet was even leaking.
The only thing I was satisfied with was its location. Situated on Chunxi Road, it's incredibly convenient to walk to Taikoo Li and other popular pedestrian shopping areas.
When checking in, I asked the front desk for a room with a better view. I was given the highest floor, but honestly, the surrounding street view wasn't anything special. It was truly underwhelming compared to the stunning river view I enjoyed in Chongqing during my previous stay.

GGuest UserAmazing customer service proficient in Chinese and English! Upgraded our single rooms to double room for free and was welcoming for a late 1am check-in time. Very clean and modern rooms with a delicious breakfast buffet. Staff willing to make coffee for us each morning, free umbrellas, a small garden courtyard to wind down, probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in for this price range! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the city but away from busy streets, tucked in near a temple and side street eateries yet only a 10 min taxi to popular attractions. One flaw:
No designated car park for taxi. Have to walk 20 metres to a side street, not a big deal but please be aware as it might be hard to find. There is a sign but we didn’t notice at 1am haha. You’re in the right street if you see this entrance -＞

AAnonymous UserGreat location near the most vibrant part of the city. Hostel is easy to find, beds are comfy and the cleaners do a great job maintaining cleanliness.
The staffs at the front desk are very friendly and goes beyond their job to help the guests. I’ve made lots of friends in the hostel.
The rooftop space is under renovation so the facilities are a bit lacking but I’m sure will be splendid once done. The pool/billiard table is very worn out. Other than that, everything is very comfortable.

__WeChat221037****The service was truly exceptional. I had booked the room for my client, who arrived quite early that day. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there to greet them myself, and the room I had reserved wasn't ready yet. However, the front desk quickly offered a solution: they prioritized a room upgrade, which allowed for a smooth check-in.
During their stay, my client specifically commended one of the ladies at the front desk (whose name I didn't catch). The following morning, we had an early departure for a site visit. When I came down to the lobby to pick up my client around 5:30 AM, the kind lady working the night shift had thoughtfully prepared two breakfast bags for us to take on the road. She explained that these were originally for other guests who would pick them up later, and she would prepare fresh ones for them once the kitchen opened.
I've never encountered such flexible and understanding service – they truly know how to accommodate guests' needs! My client was so impressed that they even left a letter of commendation for the hotel upon check-out. Highly recommended!

Having stayed at this hotel many times in Chengdu, I particularly appreciate its excellent location, which is incredibly convenient for both public transport and taxis. Secondly, the hotel consistently upgrades my room. Having a suite with a small living room is incredibly convenient, especially for longer stays. I sincerely hope they can maintain this high standard. It will undoubtedly be my top choice whenever I visit Chengdu in the future.

CCeeVieAreThis is my first visit to Chengdu and Qionglai city. This hotel or courtyard stay is affiliated to Wyndham Garden along Wenjun Street i.e. big square with various shops for shopping (sports attire brands, yinshion, Miniso), dining and decors perfect for social media posting. Dining options include McD, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Chagee, Naixue, Heytea, Mixue and local brand dining or beverage operators. Outside the square/Wyndham Garden there are Lawson, Family Mart, 7 eleven and local Hongqiao marts(prices lower). Local mini restaurants selling Sichuan food, noodles, dumplings, snacks are also available outside the square/garden, opposite AllAboutLove bakery and Naixue outlet.
Qionglai city is closely associated with a historical female poet called Zhuo Wenjun. Her residence and Wenjun well built during Han Dynasty is located 10-15 mins walk from Wyndham Garden. Look for Bank of China branch and walk across the street to reach China Construction Bank branch
Then walk straight down until you see a public toilet on your right and cross the street. Walk until you see an open space carpark and go in the carpark you will find Wenjun Residence on your left, entry is free.
You may book a car to Qionglai city from Tianfu airport but be prepared to pay RMB400+ equivalent using trip app. Going back to Chengdu city by car is about RMB200. Standby with some cash if you encounter QR code scan problem. There are also buses and trains options to reach here.
1 -0.5 hours drive you can visit famous Tiantai Mountain, Pingle Ancient Town, Bamboo Canyon Scenic Area ( went there and love it❤️❤️❤) , Yuanwozi winery, etc. ️
My stay was very refreshing and Manager Ma was very helpful and accommodating to all my queries. My travelling plans to nearby attractions was fulfilled despite unfavourable weather, drizzling 2 days non stop. I would recommend for atleast 2 night stays to enjoy 1 day outskirt trip + 1 day chill in the room and enjoy backyard outdoor onsen to relax. Breakfast buffet include western (cereal/salad/eggs/sausages/ham/fries/bread), dimsum, soup, cakoi and soya bean, 3x types of porridges and condiments, local breakfast ( starter or salad, fried rice, meat and vegetable dishes), deserts, local fruits and cut fruits. Hotel staff can also help to order takeouts for you.
