Amazing
GGuest UserWe stayed at their suite for 2 nights. Absolutely worth every penny we paid. Very large room with a small kitchen enough to cook a light meal for a small family. Beds are comfy. Location is quiet. We drove around the city so cannot comment on public transport. They have a carpark in the building. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast room are both up to par. We enjoyed our stay very much. Would recommend, and we plan to try out other hotels in the same brand in the future!

PPoodleOBaileyThe Intercontinental Lyon - Hotel Dieu is a remarkable hotel that has been transformed from a historical hospital, adding a unique charm to its ambiance. Despite its origins, the rooms have a modern design and do not bear any resemblance to a hospital setting. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are super comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The bathrooms are beautifully appointed, contributing to the overall luxury of the hotel. The views from the rooms, facing the river, are breathtaking. The breakfast served in the garden is a must-try, providing a delightful start to the day. Additionally, the hotel's central location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring the city.

GGuest UserThe location is OK, next to the transportation hub of Perrache. It takes about five minutes from getting off the subway to walking into the hotel. It's not bad if you have big luggage to carry, as you don't have to walk much in the subway station.
The hotel itself, as others have said, is nothing. But it is also possible to turn the cost savings into more favorable housing prices.
There is no resteraunt in the hotel itself, but there is a restaurant next door.
Next to him is the greet hotel, a competitor
Lyon itself is not very big, it feels like a third-tier city in China, so it is still very convenient to live here.
Breakfast was OK

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Hotel Charlemagne By HappyCulture in Lyon! Everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable, with spacious rooms and a peaceful atmosphere — a real plus in the city center. The location is perfect: just steps away from the Perrache station, tram and metro stops, and within easy walking distance to the old town and the riverside. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they kindly allowed us to check in early at no extra cost. Breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value and a perfect base for exploring Lyon. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit!

CCecilia FrenchThis hôtel is over rated. The reception area is minuscule, the overall layout is complicated with multiple small corridors and more doors than I have ever seen! The cleanliness was ok but it was very dated in the room. I had to cover The bedside table with a towel iPad the wood was chipped. The cushions also do not seem to be changed between customers. The shower was ok but not amazing as the water temperature kept changing on its own (most likely when someone in another room was using hit water). The soap dispenser in the shower contained a good quality soap, but it was almost empty so I couldn’t use it on day 2. I wouldn’t stay there again.
The staff were however super helpful and friendly.

GGuest UserHotel in the centre of the Rhône and Saône rivers. It is noticeable that there are stairs of about one meter on every floor to reach the rear part of the hotel. This is a careful thing if you have problems with walking. The swimming pool is on the ground floor and you can swim around 5 meters in the afternoon or evening to a bubble pool in a kind of built cave. For transport from and to station Part Dieu you can take the bus or the metro. The bus doesn't go so often.

GGuest UserExcellent hotel, nothing to complain about the room or the hygiene. The underground parking with valet service is handy (at a correct price). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was the fact that despite an earlier email and the extra specific on the day of our arrival in advance by telephone that we requested a room with 2 beds, this was not taken into account when we arrived at the hotel and we got a room with one ”large” bed. The next day we did get the requested room with 2 beds. For the rest everything was actually perfect!

AAudrey Claire GenevieveThe experience is not bad but not what I would expect from a 4 stars hotel. People working in the hotel are very nice, which is a big +. However, the cleanliness is so so in the room. There was a night I didn’t have hot water for shower for some reason. The breakfast is okay but I believe 17€ is a bit overpriced for what it is. Very nice service from the ladies there though. The gym isn’t a gym, it has no dumbbells, only one or two cardio machine and a musculation machine supposed to do everything but not very great. I would still recommend it, just don’t expect a 4 stars hotel as you would imagine it.
GGuest UserGreat location, 5min walk to the station, there’s a nice restaurant next door as well as a small shop to buy any last minute toiletries or snacks and drinks.
The room itself was good, small bathroom but the beds were comfy and it just does the job.
Would stay again if I visit Lyon again.
