"The hostel was really nice and very well located. There was live music on Friday night and it was a chill vibe. Staff was really helpful. Offered and switched me to a female dormitory from mixed one upon arrival which i appreciated. The beds can be loud when anyone moves at night, in case anyone's a light sleeper, can be disturbing. Didn't bother me. The pier was just a 2 minutes walk away."

Great
YYuenhomeStayed here over Christmas and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very clean, with friendly and helpful reception staff who even offered a free upgrade to a sea-view room on Christmas Day! The breakfast was lovely, and the hotel itself feels new and modern. There’s a convenient car park just across the road with a discount for guests, which is perfect for travellers with a car. I also enjoyed the movie night held in the basement — such a nice touch! The location is ideal with easy access to Brighton’s main attractions. Highly recommended for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
GGuest UserThe design of the hotel is very retro and modern. The bathroom is clean, the shower water flow is normal, and the view outside the window is beautiful. When you check in, they will help you send your luggage to the room. When you check out, you need to take your luggage downstairs by yourself. The stairs are narrow and steep, so elderly guests should pay attention.

Title: A Pleasant Stay with a Few Minor Hiccups
My recent stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton was, on the whole, a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is a definite highlight—it’s just a two-minute walk from the bustling Brighton Pier and a stone's throw from some fantastic independent coffee shops and restaurants. This made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy and convenient.
The staff were a particular standout. From the moment we checked in, the front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. They provided us with a map and some excellent recommendations for local places to eat, which were spot on. Our room was also a great feature; it was spacious, very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel.
While my stay was largely positive, there were a couple of minor issues that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton particularly for those looking for a great location and a comfortable stay. The fantastic staff and clean, well-appointed rooms make it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. While there are a few small areas for improvement, I would certainly consider staying here again on my next visit to Brighton.
AAmbxviiiAbsolutely amazing hotel and staff, could not fault at all! It was mums 60th birthday who I came with and the staff had sorted 2 drinks vouchers to use in the bar and we came back into the room with a slice of cake with a birthday note! Honestly so perfect and it being right on the seafront is stunning too :)
GGuest UserA stay with my adult daughter for passing her Degree. Her 1st time in Brighton. At a lucky request gave me a partial sea view which was in fact excellent large room, comfy bed a with a gorgeous bay with full view sun. All staff were attentive, friendly and inclusive.
There’s a real charm and nostalgic atmosphere about the old building that is on the beach front enabling Breakfast to see the sea. The only reason I have not given a 5 star 🌟 is due to some signs of wear and tear / dated chairs although they were comfy and snug. Thanks to all Queens staff we will be back
OOnly WanYou can tell this is an established resort hotel; everything is so well-equipped. The room was spacious and clean, and all the snacks and drinks in the room were free. The beach is right outside the door! Brighton 360 is literally on your doorstep, and there are lots of great seafood restaurants nearby. The hotel's underground parking is paid, but I parked in a street spot (on-street parking in the UK is generally free from 6 PM until 8 AM the next day! Brighton, being a seaside resort city, has slight variations, as seen in picture 5). Since I arrived late, I only paid for 2 hours of parking, and then it automatically became free (kind of like the overnight package at an internet cafe in China 😂). It was very good and comfortable! I highly recommend this to anyone with a sufficient budget – you won't regret it!
GGuest UserThis hotels frontage echo’s bygone splendour and is perfectly situated on the sea front. However, the hotel is ready for refurb and I certainly wouldn’t stay in the annex again (that’s the bit at the back without a sea view). Out room 254 was not what I expect from a Mercure - we had 2 extra single beds and a tatty sofa chair in our higgledy-piggledy “double” room!
However, the staff were excellent, very polite and welcoming. The breakfast was superb and again the restaurant staff were lovely and professional.
GGuest UserOverall, the Hotel is perfectly fine and the breakfast buffet is well stocked. But the rooms are teeny tiny. The beds are not comfortable. The dinner choices are okay.
GGuest UserThe room was not large, but it felt modern and clean, just like the picture! The location was good, but it was disappointing for a place where 4 people went and paid 80,000 won per person. There was no elevator and the bathroom was shared... ㅠ But I think that date was a bit expensive. I looked up other dates and it was just a little cheaper. I would have been 99% satisfied! The bathroom was clean, but there was no shampoo. They gave us one towel each.
GGuest UserThe staff is amazing from a to z, also bed linens and towels are clean like new. The mattress was very comfortable and good quality. The breakfast was very basic English with filtered coffee. But the building is almost falling apart which is a shame. It takes 15-20 minutes in bus A5 or 5 for £3 one way, which is quite handy. The free parking is fairly good and also handy. The cost for a double room was £175 and I believe that was way higher than it should. All I’m saying is that if I would have known, I could get a much nicer hotel for that amount.
