tasukuI think this is what a true 5-star hotel feels like; it was an incredibly good experience. The hotel breakfast was luxurious, and most importantly, it was impeccably clean! The staff were also incredibly kind. I've stayed at other 5-star hotels around the world, but I can confidently say this was the best among them. You can also see the poolside from the balcony, which is very relaxing. The water pressure was good, no issues there. I'd definitely want to come back here just to stay at this hotel again.

Even though I saw many positive reviews before booking, I didn't set my expectations too high. It was only after staying here that I truly understood what 'exceeds expectations' means. Every single staff member, without exception, offered genuine greetings and provided excellent service. Their service mentality absolutely surpasses that of any hotel of the same caliber, or even higher-end brands, back home. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, and despite the crowd, everything was well-organized and managed seamlessly. It's clear they put a lot of thought into it, and even during the busiest times, the staff's enthusiasm for service remained consistently high, which left a fantastic impression! The room cleaning and maintenance were superb. I particularly loved the extra-long sofa, and the shower pressure was excellent. We had almost all our dinners at the hotel. The à la carte dishes and desserts at Soiree were of extremely high quality. The prices for food and drinks of comparable quality are practically a third of what you'd pay in Shanghai. All in all, this was truly an outstanding choice; the value for money is top-notch. And of course, beyond the hotel, I found that almost everyone we encountered in Yogyakarta was incredibly simple, warm, and welcoming, which made for a wonderful experience. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Incredible stay! We booked a night here after a disaster at a neighbouring hotel and our stay was one of the best in Indonesia. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with astonishing hospitality from all the staff members but especially Reza who went above and beyond to ensure that we were welcome and comfortable in the hotel. The facilities are top quality, the room was very clean and extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. The gardens and hotel grounds are extremely well maintained, beautiful, and have lots of space for relaxation or, if you have kids, spaces to keep kids entertained. The hotel has ample options for food/drink and also entertainment and also offers tours of the local area. It was also my girlfriend's birthday and the staff again put in genuine effort to make it a really special day for her, we are extremely grateful for their efforts - 5 star service.
I can strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an escape from the city and to be near mount merapi or who wants a bit of relaxation.

IrfanharrGreat hotel for a family vacation! The location is peaceful, with breathtaking views of Mount Merapi and Prambanan Temple. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax.
The swimming pool is nice, although the water could be a bit warmer. The hotel facilities are decent and well-maintained.
Breakfast was just okay. There was a good variety of choices, but I think the quality could be improved.
The hotel is quite far from downtown Yogyakarta, but getting around isn't a problem since ride-hailing services are readily available. Overall, it's a great choice for families looking for a relaxing stay away from the crowds.

Great hotel, good view from the room at the city. But even better (actually amazing) 360° view from the rooftop, including of course towards Merapi.
The room is good, there is a nice pool on the rooftop, as well as a good bar. No pool towels, though.
The gym is very small and has a funny triangular shape, was a bit overcrowded with only 6 people at the same time.
Only downside was the breakfast, fresh omelette was good, but some of the sweet bakery goods among the most tasteless things I've ever had.
That said, still a great hotel with a nice art focused lobby and friendly staff. Would recommend.

Facilities: The facilities are well-equipped and decent.
Hygiene: Overall, it's quite clean and tidy, but the bedding and towels could be better, and there's room for improvement in the dining hygiene.
Environment: The exterior is a new area with many high-rise buildings, and there's some ongoing construction. The interior lobby is grand and quite good.
Service: Excellent.
Overall, the hotel is about an hour's taxi ride from the airport and over half an hour to downtown attractions (with heavy traffic). It's not close to Prambanan or Borobudur, but the hotel offers triple rooms with three beds, and the price is reasonable. The restaurant's food is also good. I stayed for one night, and the value for money is decent.

Crumpled Nomad | Travel Intelligence SpecialistStaying at ARTOTEL Yogyakarta was a refreshing and enjoyable experience. True to its name, the hotel blends modern hospitality with strong artistic elements, making it stand out from conventional hotels. From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re greeted by bold art pieces and creative design touches that give the place a youthful, contemporary vibe.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with just the right balance between functionality and style. While not overly large, the space is well laid out and feels cozy rather than cramped. The bed was comfortable, and overall cleanliness was well maintained throughout the stay.
Location-wise, ARTOTEL is convenient for exploring Yogyakarta, with easy access to cafes, local eateries, and key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasant experience.
Overall, ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is a great choice if you enjoy boutique-style hotels with character and personality. It’s not just a place to sleep, but a creative space that reflects the vibrant cultural spirit of the city.

Muhammad IrfadHotel is not bad. Location is accessible, But cleanliness wise still can do better.
The Toilet , bathroom and balcony is not clean even after doing room service,
Furnishing is a little bit outdated. The room smells musky
The bellboy manning the drop off is not that good cos seeing me struggling with my luggage in the rain, he did not even offer to help despite having an umbrella. Did not even help us to open the door. Me and my partner struggle to bring our luggage up the slope, in the rain and drenched. Im not sure why, but for the 4 days 3 night im there, the doorbell didnt even offer to help or assist..
For a top 10 hotel in jogja, the bell boy can do better with service wise.
But the Front desk and concierge is very friendly..

Anonymous UserMy stay at Loman Park Hotel was adequate, but the property appears to be showing its age and would benefit from significant maintenance and refurbishment.
While the staff were generally pleasant and the location was convenient, many of the facilities and amenities felt run down and poorly maintained. The overall condition of the hotel gave the impression that routine upkeep has not been a priority for some time.
In particular, the room furnishings showed noticeable wear and tear. The towels provided were frayed and worn out, and several cushions in the room and common areas appeared aged, flattened, and overdue for replacement. These details detracted from the comfort and quality one would expect from a hotel of this standard.
A more concerning issue was the hygiene of the bottled drinking water containers provided in the room. Upon inspection, black mould-like growth was visible on the silicone stoppers of the glass bottles. This raised serious concerns about cleaning procedures and attention to sanitation standards. Given that these containers are intended for drinking water, this was particularly disappointing and undermined confidence in the hotel's overall hygiene practices.
Overall, Loman Park Hotel offers a functional stay, but the deteriorating condition of the facilities, lack of maintenance, and hygiene concerns mean that there is considerable room for improvement. With greater attention to refurbishment, cleanliness, and replacement of worn amenities, the guest experience could be significantly enhanced.
