The Opera Hotel is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Riga, having been recently renovated in 2024. With Riga Train Station just 300m away and Riga International Airport only 14km away, transportation is very convenient. There's plenty to do nearby, with Palladium Riga, Riga Congress Centre and Fashion Museum in Riga all within a short distance. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. For guests traveling as a couple, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
"Overall, I like it very much. The room is strategically located and can easily walk to the station and various attractions. The room is spacious and beautiful, and the facilities are very complete. The bed is a bit high and too soft for us. The shower place has a narrow glass blocking the side. After the shower, the bathroom floor will be wet, and there is a place for water, which is still wet all night. The water in the washbasin is also a bit blocked. Also, if the window is open, it is very noisy outside, but the sound insulation of the window is very good, it will be boring if the window is closed."

Outstanding
GGuest UserMy stay at the Grand Poet was truly exceptional. The hotel perfectly combines modern elegance with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every comfort, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the park view is lovely. The spa is a real gem, ideal after a day of exploring the city, and breakfast deserves special praise for its quality and variety. The staff are always attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. A place that turns a stay in Riga into a pure pleasure.

Amazing
GGuest UserThis hostel is amazing and among the best so far along my travel, the staff show you every corner of the property, patiently brief you place to visit, local coffee, ice cream, museums etc on map… they also have activities that you can join! Highly recommended!

Great
CColinBeautifully restored heritage building in the center of old Riga. The classic feature of the original architecture have been preserved and complimented with a modern interior design with clean Nordic style. Rooms have a foldout sofa bed, great for families. Breakfast is simple but high quality ingredients and attentive staff. Recommend the fresh croissants and salmon and raspberry smoothies. Location in center of old town on a charming street just close enough to great restaurants and bars but quiet enough to get a good sleep.

Great
GGuest UserThe property is under renovation, the whole floor and my room is with all the furnitures or renovation smell. It’s not a pleasant feel when you walking on the corridor to the room as some areas are renovating and some room doors are open and the furnitures all putting outside the corridor. Other than the location is good I really have bad experience with the smell especially while sleeping I got sinus with all these bad smell. I request to change room and they said is full. I request to fix the safebox battery and end up they didnt do it, I was on business trips and stay for 2 nights it’s a very bad experience for me. If you are renovating the floor pls do not rent iit our or at least clear the smell before renting to others.

GGuest UserAn extraordinary building ; one of the most architecturally impressive hotels in which I can remember staying, with wonderfully helpful staff and a location that can not be bettered -- with a commendable breakfast. Five stars ! But then . . .
Beautifully configured and equipped rooms but, constraints on urban buildings being what they are, and the architects having elected a stunning central skylit air- and light-well, our room, at least, had no window. Where was one to be placed, after all ? The air-conditioning worked well, but truly fresh air was not available.
The housekeeping staff had neglected the bathroom attached to the room that we used. Hair, a cotton-tipped applicator stick, and -- simply -- dirt were on the tiles. This can happen. It was very different from the rest of the experience of the stay. But there it was.
Have a look around when you check in. Ask for a repeat cleaning of your room if you think one is necessary. Enjoy your stay.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel for my birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. We were upgraded to a room with an old town view, which was truly stunning. Additionally, they offered us complimentary spa entrance after checkout, which was a delightful bonus.
The room itself was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable, situated on the 19th floor with an amazing view. The spa was also impressive—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and amenities.

GGuest UserHotel is very conveniently located, next to the mall and central station, minutes walk to the bus station, central market and old town. Check in was perfect and helpful with city map provided. Kettle, cups, sachet tea and coffee are provided, shampoo, hand soap, tissue paper, shower cap were provided in the bathroom. Would be good if they provided body lotion and hair conditioner. Sadly, the power plugs at the desk does not fit a travel adaptor and there are no usb ports. The single bed was right next to the curtain and a mirror is right in front of the bed, very weird room design. There’s a safe deposit box in the room. Do remember to bring your own slippers as no room slippers are provided.

GGuest UserThe hotel was elegant and the location was good, but the room we stayed in did not have a safe, so we left our valuables at the front desk. It was our fault for not getting a safe deposit box, but the young man at the front desk did not hand it over to us, so the staff could not find it even after searching, and we almost missed our flight. We told them that the phone was broken and that the bathrobe was missing, and they promised to deliver it later, but they never showed up... We gave up, thinking that it was a bad room.
GGuest UserAn honest review from an British point of view. Location is great, noisy on a weekend if you go to bed before midnight. Beds in the room are very low to the ground with pillows that are awful very lumpy. thin duvets which are ideal in the summer. Breakfast is great. You have to book the Spa if you want to use it at an additional fee 18 euro I believe, I tried three times to say it was full? They admit last customer at 7pm but the Spa is open until 9pm. Over all I would compare the hotel to a Travel Lodge in UK certainly not 4 star high standard. Staff need to learn on how to smile it goes a long way for poor service.
