There seems to be quite a difference depending on the room type. I wanted to keep costs down to a certain extent, so I stayed in a room between the 1st and 2nd floors. It wasn't very spacious, but it felt clean. The windows were glued to the floor, and when opened, they were close to people passing by. It's not a big street, probably because there's a university nearby, but there were always people walking by during the day, and I could hear people talking, so I always kept my windows closed. There is a small window in the same position in the bathroom, but it gets crowded when I take a shower, so I leave it open every now and then. There is a garbage collection point in front of the hotel, and several times a day you can hear the loud sound of glass shattering, probably because bottles are being collected. The walls of the hotel are very thin so you can hear the people next door talking. The location is good! About 5 minutes walk from Universidad station? It's about a 10-minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya, where the airport bus stops, and although the cobblestones may be a bit of a drag, it's within walking distance even for a petite woman with a suitcase. There seems to be no problem with the safety of the surrounding area. During my stay, I came into contact with about 3 people at the front desk, and they were all very pleasant and kind. There is a free water server on the second or third floor of the building, with room temperature water, cold water, gas water and maybe ice? was selected. I drink a lot of water, so this was a surprisingly nice and helpful point. And the shower, which Japanese people seem to be particularly interested in, has the best temperature and pressure! The temperature can actually get hot, so find a place with the right temperature and be careful not to get burned. I don't know about other hotels in Barcelona, ​​so I can't say anything about them, but overall, I get the impression that the price is reasonable. To be honest, the room wasn't very good, but I didn't have high expectations to begin with, and considering it was a place to sleep for a few days while sightseeing, it was enough.
