The cottage rooms are spartan, but clean so expectations of normal hotel rooms should be suspended in order to enter a more family style experience with Baba & Prakesh leading the journey. The highlight of staying here are the almost private tours into the national park. During my four days I saw three tigers with their help😊

Everyone was super nice, and the room was exceptionally spacious. Very adequate fast Wifi with workspace to work very comfortably and water filtration machine for great drinking water source. And all the things you need are near it. It is more like a high value resort-like setting, yet super affordable.

We spent a week cut off from the world in this little haven of peace. With us: Baba, his brother and the wild eco planet team. At the heart of nature in a soothing place, we let ourselves be carried away by the quiet rhythm of the life in Bardyia. The eco wild planet offers comfortable bedrooms in a quiet environment near the park entrance. There is a restaurant where the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. We also did a three-day safari. Two walking and one driving in a jeep. It was great to discover this incredible stretch of nature, fauna and flora. Baba and his brother are passionate and they easily shared this passion to us. It is not just a matter of seeing rhinos or Bengal tigers but also to understand the nature that surrounds us and to follow the tracks left by the different species. The cherry on the cake was of course these encounters, but we enjoyed every moment of calm, of walk, and of long wait, in this peaceful and relaxing environment. Going to Bardyia is a worthwhile expedition.

We stayed in Baba’s resort after a friend of mine recomended me the place. Room was cheap and perfect for a 3 nights stay, Baba is really nice and makes you feel at home. We had the chance to go for a walking safari, one of the best experiences ever! Thank you again Baba and your family, Armelle and Antoine

We spent two months in this Guest House, we really felt to be at home. The location is perfect, 5min by walk from the entrance of the park, 10min from the village and close to the river. The accommodation is also great, clean room, good WI-FI, peaceful garden and a very good restaurant with a great cook, Paharu, a sun, always smiling and his cooking is very tasty. And than, the staff, more than staff, a family, friends. Baba and Prakash run together the guest house and they are also guide, very best guides. We saw many many animals with them, they love to be in the jungle, it's them home, they know everything about the nature, it's wonderful. There was also Sivraj, to help them in the guest house and also he is a very nice guide, always smiling too, always jocking, always happy ! And all the persons who came to help in the guest house was also very nice, thank you to all of you. I will go back !

This is a nice lodge close to the entrance of Bardia National Park. We paid for a package deal of US$250 for three days/two nights, including a stay in the tree house, two walking safaris and a jeep safari, a cultural dance, accommodation, meals and non-alcoholic drinks. This would be ok if we got good service which unfortunately we didn't feel like we did. The owner was unable to provide a breakdown of the cost when we asked for it. Given that the Jeep safari is 12,000 rupees for a day and the walking safari 6,000 rupees, rooms between 500 and 800, and a meal around 200 rupees, we really felt like it wasn't great value for money. Here are a few suggestions to improve the experience of future guests: - inform your guests beforehand of the plan for the whole day, what to expect and what to bring. It's mentally exhausting to be told what's happening next as it's already happening. - offer breaks in between program points throughout the day. Even for a short visit, 14 hours of program in one day is too much. - when you walk or drive through the jungle with guests for hours on end, at least provide some information, stories or any kind of conversation during that time. Or, like others have suggested, tell them to download podcasts or bring a book while sitting in tall grass for hours. - make sure to mend at least the first-sized holes in the mosquito nets. You might as well just not provide them at all. - a broken corner on the side of the toilet and a sink that's coming off the wall are fine, if you at least make sure the bathrooms are clean. - pick out the ants before serving honey. - if you don't know how to make Thukpa, you don't have to put it on the menu and then serve spaghetti in water. - if you are asked for a breakdown of the package price, provide something to back up your costs. We felt like we overpayed by at least US$100 per person. Please don't get me wrong, this isn't a terrible place to stay at by any means. Prakash was nice throughout our stay, we just sometimes felt like we weren't there, trying to follow his pace stumbling across the jungle with no information provided about where we're going, why and for how long.

This charming hotel is run by a pair of brothers and they go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Excellent location, a stone's throw from the park gates and absolutely amazing days in the park. Baba's passion for wildlife is so clear and even on the days when you don't see a tiger you still come away grinning from ear to ear and having learned a lot. This will definitely be my go to place to stay to visit the park in the future. They can even arrange multi-day camping stays in the park for you if you ask. Something I'd definitely like to do in the future.

The accommodation is very simple but the buildings are based around traditional style huts - so great if you are looking for a very cheap immersive experience. They are cool in summer but will be cold in winter. There is hot water in the shower though ☺️ Everything is built in an environmentally conscious way and you are so close to the sounds of nature. The staff are keen to help and provide great opportunities for a variety of trips into Bardia National Park. Their knowledge is excellent and Bardia National Park is absolutely stunning! If you can't afford or don't have time for camping in the park - I highly recommend - staying outside the park overnight in the treehouse where you will have opportunities to see a large selection of wild birds and possibly rhino, elephant or tiger..but most of all experience the sounds, wilderness and anticipation of what's out there! This can be organised through the lodge and a large % goes to the local community. The food is good at the lodge and I recommend getting on a bike and exploring the local community. All staff were warm and welcoming. Above all else, the focus on conservation and care of the local environment is what drew me to stay here! Plus Baba is an outstanding photographer - so if you want some amazing shots of your trip and the wonderful nature there he will happily oblige!

Baba and the team at Wild Planet are simply fantastic. They live and breathe their conservation message and that care results in excellent facilities, great food, and exhilarating wildlife experiences. Tiger's are Baba's passion and we were lucky enough to experience the fruits of that passion along with Rhino, Elephant and so many other of Bardia's animals. Stay here and not just experience, but contribute to conservation.
