The Furness Railway Wetherspoon

Stayed here May 2025 me and my husband thoroughly enjoy our experience the food was great on price and for the convenience ,the room was amazing so very clean , comfortable,and super spacious,and the staff well what can I say I can’t fault them at all a wonderful crew who were very helpful at the drop of a hat especially Natalie on reception and also the lady who checked us in who both went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, would stay here again 110%.

What a fantasticly comfortable hotel this is. Parking facilities are good and the reception staff are amazing truly must be the Star of the Wetherspoon hotel group. Very busy but you never have long to wait to be served with either food or drinks orders and the meals are first class. The rooms are in great condition and everything was Top notch.Certainly well worth a visit.

Usual J D Wetherspoon offering available here with several ales on cask plus the usual keg beers. As it was a Tuesday then took advantage of the excellent Steak Club deal with a Large Mixed Grill with a Pint of Guinness. Alright for a couple of pints.

What a wonderful hotel! We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and were checked in quickly. The lady on reception even managed to find us a space on the car park which was ideal as we intended to leave our car there for the weekend. The room we were given was enormous with 2 armchairs and a chair and table. There were plenty of sachets of tea, coffee & hot chocolate and bottles of water which were replaced when the room was serviced. The bed was exceptionally comfy with supportive pillows and the best thing was there was no noise at all at night. I had 2 unbroken night's sleep. The bar downstairs served excellent breakfasts. I cannot praise the Fueness Railway Hotel enough. A fantastic Indian restaurant (Dhaba) just next door added to its appeal. 5 stars from us!

We stayed for 2 nights as was my uncles funeral, we came from Cornwall, my mum is in a wheelchair and my father every unsteady as both in there 80s. From the start with the booking phone call, they were amazing, our rooms were perfect, clean and welcoming with everything we needed, the staff went far beyond helpful, and very knowledgeable about taxis ect. The food and service in weatherspoons was wonderful 5 stars. We definitely stay again and tell everyone also. Its the place to stay.

Stayed here as attending a family funeral...we had 4 rooms and all were excellent. Massive rooms, very modern bathroom...tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits and water left for us. Very nice staff throughout the pub, breakfast good standard - as usual. I've honestly never seen such high ceilings and long curtains!!! Would definitely stay again if needed to.
