i only had one issue with my stay, the resort was rather dark, i went to bead while there, and lighting was less than needed. when i had maintenance man in for minor issue, he even had hard time seeing the buttons on the remote in the daytime. this was at ten am. other than that i would say it is lovely place to stay, just my issue.

The resort is nestled in a great area with lots of things to do. It is a little older and could use some updates, but it was everything we needed. Staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area.

Room was decently clean- definitely found some spiders and cobwebs. Our first room the oven was broken and the couch was ripped. Thankfully, our second room was cleaner; thought neither rooms had been updated. Its a time-warp back to the nineties! Appreciated the games and movies you were able to borrow from the lodge. Pool is salt-water.

Good rustic location to visit the Shenandoah Valley and experience Skyline Drive. Did not use Activity Center other than one visit to the "fitness" center where there was limited equipment that needs maintenance. TV had DISH service, but no streaming access. Flat screen, but not smart TVs. Balconies needing maintenance and new furniture. However, they did back up to a babbling brook.

Road trip East Living room furniture is not comfortable. Bed was good. Loved the jet tub! Loved being right on the golf course. Enjoyed the indoor pool!

This townhouse is right by a golf course in the middle of a valley 40min driving distance away from the blue ridge mountains. It is quite isolated, far away from shopping areas. If you like golfing, that’s great. But I don’t golf, which is very expensive. The only fun activities here for me is hiking and fishing. You can walk around the golf course before dawn and after dusk, hike around the lake Laura 2miles away or fish at the Stony Creek. I did catch quite some fish including trout, bass and bluegills. There are a few state parks within 30min driving distance where you can hike. The rooms are old and small. TVs are very small too. We got bored after four days and left two-day early than my booked stay.

Floors were filthy. Office never returned a call. Balconies doors were screwed shut because the balconies were unsafe. Heat and A/C didn't work. There was supposed to be a dvd player in the unit. There wasn't. Was told on Friday that maintenance wouldn't be back until Monday. This was very disappointing.

The staff was friendly. Pool area closed by 8 p.m. Very dark winding mountain roads. Few stairs into the unit but 14 steps either up or down to a bathroom or bedroom. Laundry, kitchen, living room on entry floor.
