We saw hairs on the floor and bathtub in the bathroom and the lights flicker. We need to call the technician and housekeeping to come and clean the room and fixed the lights. Next day, we wanted to go some where else and was told by CS to book our own taxi or grab. The breakfast is so-so very simple. Even the spa service has dropped as compare to 7 years ago when we visited the same place. Best part of this hotel is opposite there is a shopping mall.

Eska hotel is located behind a newly opened mall. Corridor of the level 3 we stayed in reek of cigarette smell. Lucky there’s a new mall that is not fully opened yet, else the area is very quiet and out of the way. Have to take Grab everywhere we go and on average is about 21K THB to main City area. Room wise, spotted an insect at sink area hence not very clean. Breakfast was good, though variety not much. Conclusion, fine for a 1-2 nights stay in Batam and don’t expect too much from the price point as well.

The hotel is cheap and affordable, so I’ll give a 5-star on the price. However, it’s dusty (can see on the table) and dirty (got hair on toilet bowl when we checked in) in a sense where we can’t take it. However, the staff is nice and friendly. If you can improve the cleanliness, I believe it will be a great stay here. Nearby is Kepri mall (old name), now K square which is just right in front and can grab good meal there.

Just next to the K Square mall which is finally having more shops (fascinated by the queue in Subway). This is a comfortable no frill hotel. The Eska spa is a great bonus. If you like a quiet and yet convenient access to a promising mall beside - this is great choice. 15-20 mins to the more busy more of Batam. Like it also that it’s near Panbill nature park.

Hotel within the vicinity of the newly opened K-Square mall. Room is satisfactory. Bathtub is clean. Unique shower cubicle. Wi-Fi slow at night. TV is kind of small and TV signal kind of weak. Overall a decent hotel.
