Great location to stay, easy walk to salamanca market or night life. Lovely interior and has everything you require. Parking may same issue as only one parking space, we found alternative parking easily, just a few streets away and was free. Safe neighborhood, lovely Indian restaurant close by and great pub up the road, serves good food. Highly recommend, great hosts

Old world charm in this historic accommodation . Battery point is a great location in Hobart to stay for a short visit as it is within walking distance to everywhere! Grand Old Duke is a classic old building. We stayed in “The Wellington” which was fully self contained and with a huge bedroom and bathroom including an old fashioned stand alone bath tub and also a shower. Proximity to Salamanca markets and the wharf area were the highlight. Highly recommend this accommodation and would definitely book here when we visit Hobart again

The Grand old Duke was a delightful place to stay. Heritage listed and quaint. The place is very well maintained. Location is excellent, if staying in Hobart you will not need a car, as everything is walking distance eg harbour, restaurants and salamanca markets. It is very quiet at night and the beds are comfortable. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the Wellington Suite, and it was very spacious and lovely furnishing. It’s a great location, only metres away from great cafes and restaurants, and close to the Salamanca area. Definitely will book again!

Battery Point is the most wonderful part of Hobart and it was fantastic to stay in The Grand Old Duke for a few nights. Great value, comfortable setup, brilliant Italian joint down the road and awesome coffee across the road. Highly recommend.

Superb location and very comfortable stay. Everything you would need for a couple of nights stay. Not far from amenities. Just be mindful that parking is a premium in Battery Point and you may need to move your car throughout the day if staying at the property as there is a 2 hour limit with parking inspectors in attendance

My mum and I had a 2 night stay in the Wellington room and loved it. The apartment was super spacious and clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The electric blanket on the bed was a bonus. Self check in and check out was a breeze and the apartment provided for a very comfortable and easy stay. The location is supreme. You step out the door and you're in the heart of the lovely Battery Point. Well priced too for such a top location. I would definitely book this place again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Old Duke. Spacious, comfortable, a dash of history, a great location, and even a little selection of physical copies of movies to watch - hadn't seen The Castle in years! Some fantastic restaurants nearby.
