We returned to Hotel Meyer for a delightful weekend and were impressed by its Grand Hotel charm. The modernized facilities beautifully balance historic allure with contemporary comfort. The staff were friendly, the property was spotlessly clean, the gardens well-maintained, and the pool impeccable.

From Monday through Saturday Hotel Meyer offers in their "brasserie" a delicious, value for money "menu du jour/lunch special", 2 dishes for 16.50 Euro or 3 dishes for 19.50 Euro. Servings are huge, we took main dish and dessert. In our case "Bouchée/vol-au-vent aux poissons avec sauce au vin blanc", crispy pastry filled with fish and a creamy white wine sauce mmmhhh. Dessert was "glace vanille avec ananas et crème fouettée"/vanilla ice cream with fresh pineapple and whipped cream. Correct prices for the drinks. Very friendly and efficient service by the owners and their staff. Plenty of free parking. Close to the outstanding "Müllerthal Trail", great for hiking and enjoying nature.

Nice family hotel with very friendly staff. It’s clearly been done up in the last few years: very modern and clean everywhere. The swimming pool is very good. We had a suite (very large but weirdly empty) and Demi-pension so ate in the restaurant both nights. It’s good but nothing very special. Breakfast is huge though with plenty of choice. While the hotel staff are very friendly I got served the wrong wine, and they forgot a bottle of water, and the whole place feels a little soulless, which is sad for a family-run hotel in a pretty town.

Bij aankomst kan je parkeren op een ruime parking langs het hotel. Het inchecken verliep vlot en vriendelijk. We kregen de nodige uitleg over al de faciliteiten van het hotel. Onze kamer was een zéér ruime hoekkamer met een goed ingerichte badkamer en een aparte wc. Meer dan genoeg plaats om onze kleren op te hangen of te leggen. Rolluiken zorgden ervoor dat het donker was tijdens de nachten. Er is geen airco maar er stond wel een grote ventilator voor het geval het te warm zou worden. Er staat een kleine koelkast om onze drank koud te houden. Koffie of thee maken op de kamer kan je niet maar daar maken wij toch nooit gebruik van; ik drink dan liever een koffie in de bar. Veel gezelliger. De bediening in de bar, die trouwens 's middags dienst doet al s bistro, was vlot en zeer vriendelijk. Je kan er ook een glas drinken op het terras of in de aangename tuin onder een parasol. Over het restaurant en de maaltijden is er absoluut niets aan te merken. We hadden gekozen voor half pension met keuze voor het hoofdgerecht maar als je iets niet lust kan je het gewoon doorgeven voor 10 uur en het wordt aangepast. Geweldig! We hebben ook gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad en de sauna. Heerlijk! Bovendien is het een ideale uitvalbasis voor vele wandelingen. Hier gaan we zeker nog terug.

Het personeel geeft weinig tot geen uitleg over de mogelijkheden. Ook de dame die volgens ons verantwoordelijk of de eigenaar is, is niet vriedelijk. Ontbijt s'morgens is ok maar geen 4 sterren waardig. Zuur fruitsap, oud brood, oud beleg. Vlees bleef dagen liggen. Met het oude brood maken ze broodpudding maar ook deze was bij mij zuur. 5dagen hetzelfde ontbijt gegeten, geen afwisseling. 'S 'avonds 1x in het restaurant gaan eten en dat was echt ondermaats. Hapje was een doorweekt tuck koekje met vleesmousse. We kozen voor een salade, deze was uit een zak en koste €26. In café dina hebben in Walbillig we beter gegeten dan hier. Voordeel, mooie, propere kamer maar geen airco aanwezig. Gelukkig was het bij ons nog niet te warm anders snikheet. Helaas geen terras. Buiten is een mooi grasveld waar je kan zitten. Helaas zouden wij dit hotel niet aanraden.

Het hotel is gelegen aan het einde van het middelgrote dorp Beaufort in de prachtige Mullerthalregio in het Groot hertogdom Luxemburg. Het is een klassiek hotel in de goede betekenis van het woord. Er is een ruime, gratis parking aan de linkerzijde van het hotel. Bij aankomst in de lobby heb je links de brasserie (die 's avonds ook als bar fungeert) en rechts het restaurant. De bediening is zeer vriendelijk en het personeel spreekt-waarschijnlijk door de talrijke Nederlandstalige gasten-een aardig mondje Nederlands. De lift naar boven is krap. Het hotel ademt een klassieke stijl uit maar het is zeker niet verouderd. Wij hadden twee kamers (een voor ons en één voor de kinderen) op het einde van het derde verdiep. In de gang bevond zich een soort tussendeur waarmee we de rest van de gang konden afsluiten en de deur naar de kamer van onze kinderen konden openlaten. De kamers waren groot en comfortabel. Enkel over de kussens was ik iets minder tevreden. het hotel bevat een middelgroot zwembad; het water is lekker warm en er wordt gretig gebruik van gemaakt. Er zijn wel slechts 8 ligstoelen en twee hangmatten wat soms te weinig is. Voor de sauna dien je te reserveren en 10 euro per uur te betalen. De keuken van het restaurant is ook klassiek maar wel lekker en de porties waren groot. Wij betaalden voor een twee volwassen maaltijden inclusief aperitief en flessen water en cola's, desserten en twee kindermenu's (met soep en dessert) ongeveer 140 €. Ik vond dit een prima hotel!

L’hôtel est presque parfait : grandes chambres très propres, bonne literie, espaces de rangement (de plus en plus rare...), accueil agréable, vaste parking avec possibilité de recharge électrique, petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet, varié et excellent, piscine intérieure en accès gratuit bien chauffée, grand terrain en pelouse équipé de chaises longues, etc. Vraiment un très bon choix dans la région, proche des randonnées de la Petite Suisse luxembourgeoise. Préférer quand même les chambres sur l’arrière (avec balcon), plus au calme que celles qui ouvrent à l’avant, sur la rue (et au soleil l’après-midi...). Le restaurant est très correct, pas vraiment bon marché, mais c’est assez général au Luxembourg.

Ce séjour a été le meilleur. Quel bel hôtel tout y est parfait et que dire du restaurant. Délicieux propreté de la chambre sdb nickel petit déjeuner buffet bien garni propreté de tout l hôtel personnel gentil serveurs au restaurant en tenue chic beau parc bien entretenu agréable.
