Everything you've read is true. Gourmet 3-course meals daily, to unlimited access to wine cellar and bar, seclusion and serenity. The most picturesque "barefoot luxury" experience one can imagine. Sand and beach a bit rocky with bit of sea****, but will be the least of your concerns. Postcard views at every part of the resort, with comfort and rejuvenation at the core of what Bedarra has to offer. The staff are bar-none. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable Honeymoon.

What an absolutely exquisite experience. A hidden gem with the most remarkable food, wine and cocktails. The staff ever so friendly and downright good fun, always willing to help. The tropical setting is remarkable and we can't wait to return.

I thought about going to Bedarra for a while but always thought it might have been a bit much of an indulgence for a no occasion holiday. After a busy year I bit the bullet and what can I say.. I didn’t regret it for a minute. From the moment we arrived in Mission Beach we were amazed by the hospitality we received. Credit to the team Bono, Gianni, Mark and Larissa who all looked after us during our stay and know how to mix a cocktail or five. The food was amazing- so much better than I had expected. My only feedback would be that my husband craved a few more carbs in meals but an option for a side of chips would’ve pleased him😂 The rooms are probably due for a bit of a refresh but are very clean and the balconies amazing. We didn’t do a lot but did all the walks including the longer one to Happy Beach. My only feedback would be that that track needs remarking. Am interesting thing we learnt from other guests is that a lot were repeat visitors… I I’m talking 8/9 times. For a resort to get people back time and time again, they’re doing something right! Overall a 5 star holiday and my workaholic husband said he’s keen to come back… so that’s a bonus!!!

The dream holiday come to life. Impeccable service at every turn. What a team - Geoffrey at the helm and Samuel taking care of us in the restaurant - leading a team of beautiful folk (Bono, Gianni, Mark and Larissa). Chef Miles and a team of creatives in the kitchen - creating a bespoke vegan menu for my partner; beyond expectations. Delicious! She's still dreaming about the macadamia deep fried vegan cheese. The villa we had shows a little age and the lack of wifi is a gift (when it's not annoying) but nothing could detract from the absolute beauty of the island and the care and attention of the team. We would do it all again tomorrow!

We stayed at one of The Pavillions - Amazing, comfy bed and our own plunge pool. Complete privacy. The Staff are so attentive and nothing is too much to ask for. They made us feel like we were part of the family. The FOOD….OMG, exceptional. Thanks for an amazing experience we will be back.

How do you describe our Bedarra Island experience as something that is the very best of its kind? The words “superlative”, “magnificent”, “outstanding”, “superb’, “unparalleled”, “unsurpassed”, “world-class” …spring to mind, as they resonate with our Bedarra Island experience. From the time our journey commenced with travel to the Island with Roger, and on our arrival, the welcome from GM Geoffrey, we embarked on a holiday where our memories will be treasured for the rest of our lives. The unique management skills of GM Geoffrey were reflected in the outstanding care, hospitality, and attention to the needs of guests provided by all staff: Really, a benchmark for island resorts. At the time of the World Heritage listing of the Great Barrier Reef in 1981, the UNESCO Committee stated “… if only one coral reef site in the world were to be chosen for the World Heritage List, the Great Barrier Reef is the site to be chosen”. As a variation of this statement, if you had to choose a Great Barrier Reef Marine Park island to be #1 on your bucket list, it should be Bedarra Island – an Australian-owned icon.

The Bedarra experience was exceptional and exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The team, led by the amazing Geoff will make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. They are attentive and friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there. The resort facilities are great. We eloped at Bedarra and it was absolutely magical. Bedarra had such a meaningful impact that I got quite emotional leaving. You feel a real bond with the people and the island and you don’t want to leave. Highly recommend this place.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Warmly greeted by Geoff, the resort manager, who helped organise our wedding day. Great communication, amazing food, truly a wonderful all-around experience. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wines. We held our wedding ceremony there and were so well looked after by the team a truly magical day.

This is truly a special place to relax, be spoiled and recharge. Bedarra is a beautiful island nestled in the Coral Sea next to Dunk Island and just off Mission Beach. Make it an extra special experience and go by helicopter to and from Cairns. The manager and staff here are just wonderful and really make it a carefree, relaxing holiday. The food is prepared by a very talented chef and is delicious. It’s a place where you can take advantage of many activities on offer…paddle boarding, canoeing, snorkelling, bushwalking etc. or just relax in a hammock, read a book and chill. If I had to pick a negative I would say that the furniture in my villa was extremely uncomfortable. It had a huge, hard divan as seating . I would have preferred comfortable lounge chairs. The snacks provided in the mini bar were also underwhelming. This will be a holiday I will remember for many years as something very special. Treat yourself!
