We booked a room at Chateau de Behen as our final stop on a two week holiday. It was absolutely stunning! A beautiful chateau in a lovely setting. Norbert was very kind to us and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. We will definitely be back on a future trip to France.

If you want traditional French and a bit quirky this is the place. Fabulous room and views, so quiet and peaceful. Slept like a log! Breakfast with excellent coffee set is up for the rest of our trip. Great evening and morning walk in the grounds including meeting the goats and baby pony! Our dog was made completely welcome too. Fully recommend

This was our second visit to the Chateau and it was as lovely as I remembered, we will definitely be back. Such a warm welcome from Norbert and his brother. They even let my daughter and her cousin take a couple of the goats out for a walk in the morning before we left! It has a relaxed atmosphere and I would love to visit next time in the summer to see the lovely grounds then. Keep up the good work!

The chateau and rooms are beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed here as a family for two nights - including our 2 daughters aged 3 and 10 months. We stayed in the saphir suite which was perfect as they had their own room and we could use the lounge when they’d gone to bed. Norbert was really helpful in booking a meal out for us one night, and then helping us sort out a take away pizza another so that we could eat outside when the children had gone to sleep (accompanied by some lovely wine we bought from them! ) The children loved running around the grounds, and playing with their friendly cat. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at Chateau de Behen many times and have recently returned from another short break. Norbert and his brother are excellent hosts and two of the kindest people we have ever met. Their sense of humour and fun ensures lots of laughter. All guests are made to feel welcome. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and all have en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast is delicious with croissants, bread, yogurts, cereal and fresh fruit. For us Chateau be Behen is a place of many happy memories of fun, laughter, good food and a feeling of well being. If you ever find yourself in the area and are looking for somewhere to stay then do not hesitate to book a room at the Chateau. You will not regret it.

What a superb find, made so very welcome by hosts Norbert-Andre and his brother Hubert. The Chateau is a haven of peace and tranquillity in lovely grounds with horses, ponies, goats, alpaca. Rooms large and luxurious, comfortable bed, pillows and lovely bathroom, all immaculately clean. Safe parking on site behind closed gates. Breakfast with large variety of fruit, meats, cheeses, breads and croissants. Nothing was too much trouble, every need catered for. Met a couple at breakfast who had been visiting for the past 20 odd years, that is a recommendation in itself. I will return for a longer stay with fellow petrolheads and organize a group dinner.

Large and quite grand chateau 5km out of Abbeville, just a couple of minutes off the autoroute. Masses of space, comfy beds, good plumbing and a really nice atmosphere. There’s a small menagerie in the field nearby, plus very friendly cat and (large) dog, so most children will love the place. Unlike so many of France’s country houses in private ownership, the fabric of the main building is being well maintained, while the gently crumbling outbuildings make for a picturesque setting. The two brothers who own and run the place are a delight and are extremely friendly and helpful.

We have just got back to the UK after a two week holiday in France. Chateau de Behen was our very last place to stay and what a place to end the holiday. This is truly a special place run by La Famille Cuvelier - brothers Norbert and Hubert really know how to make you feel special. The grand -sized rooms and the very comfortable beds, the beautiful garden and fields surrounding the house. We loved the goats and shetland ponies and my eight year old twin boys thought it was the best place ever! Especially because of Whiskey the goat. We had an excellent meal at the restaurant down on the coast in the evening recommended by Norbert and a lovely breakfast in the morning (albeit v rushed as we had a train to meet). All in all a very French, gorgeous and fun experience that will make me smile for a long time to come. French traditional splendour with two charming hosts.
