I extended my stay here because my flight back home was canceled. The entire process was hassle-free and in addition to that, I was gifted a christmas card from the hotel staff.
House keeping came every three days because most workers we sick due to covid and the botel was short staffed. However, supplies like water, soap, etc were alaways available in a self service area for guests on the resident floors and if one needed extra assistance, someone was always availato offer assistance.
My overall stay was wonderful and I hope to return soon!

Although the facilities are old, there’s a nice pool and big comfortable rooms. The room service is terrible and ordering food/drinks around the pool, by the bar etc involves many members of staff and big delays. The service really lets the hotel down.

We had an amazing stay at Shangri La for summer vacation with kids. Hotel is very safe and comfortable to stay with young kids. All staff is dedicated all day and night long to provide the best experience.
Hotel and facilities are clean and well maintained. The swimming pool is amazing and kids can spend our on the slide. The beach is just across swimming pool.
Breakfast buffet is a perfect mix of Chinese and Western breakfast to satisfy everyone. Dinner buffet is also amazing, including the wide sashimi/sushi/roll bar.

The service is very friendly and accommodating. The pool is big and quiet. You’ll need a cap, but can rent floats. The beach cannot be swam in. The spa calls on a local masseuse. Mine was very good. Worth the money.

Excellent location with great service, great amenities, and in a great location, including a short 20 minute walk to beihai old street. We especially enjoyed the beautiful pool. 10/10 would stay again!

A lovely, elegant hotel. Built about 30 years ago and renovated in the past few years. Nice view, lovely pool and excellent buffet breakfast.
