Watertown Hotel

A great place for winter leisure! The hotel is spacious and the service is excellent. Special shout-out to Xing Guangxu at the front desk for being so attentive and thoughtful! 👍👍

The price didn't match the experience. Let's start with the perks included by the hotel: 1. Double tickets: Gubei Water Town suddenly continued its free ticket policy from December into January, so this inclusion was essentially worthless. 2. Hot spring tickets: The mini-program was overloaded and impossible to book. The hotel booked them for us, but it was incredibly crowded. 3. Passport for clearance: This was the most disappointing souvenir. Absolutely useless. On a side note, the information staff at Gubei didn't even bother to look up when I asked for help, telling me to read the instructions myself. If I understood them, why would I be asking you? 4. Breakfast: Unimaginably crowded. While there seemed to be many options, there was actually nothing good to eat, and it was all very mediocre. The pancake stall had a huge line. After my friend and I got our food, we walked around for 8 rounds with our plates and couldn't find a single seat. The hotel's capacity to handle guests is truly terrible; this can't be their first time dealing with large crowds, yet they still have no measures in place to cope. Now, let's talk about the hotel facilities and service: 1. Immediately after checking in, we had a blunder! The front desk wrote down the wrong room number and checked us into a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. When we went back down to the front desk to inquire, they admitted they'd written the wrong room number. 2. The hotel is genuinely old. The TV can't screen mirror, and the remote control can't perform all necessary functions. You can't even change channels directly; you have to manually adjust the volume using buttons on the side of the TV... In short, besides being able to drive into the hotel's own parking lot, it's completely useless. And even parking costs 25 yuan, which is charged by the scenic area.

This hotel definitely exceeds a five-star standard. The location is excellent, and our stay was very comfortable. Having multiple free entries to the park was incredibly convenient. It really shows that staying at a hotel run by the scenic area itself perfectly matches a vacation vibe. The Chinese food at the Gubei Zhiguang Hotel was unexpectedly delicious. The scenic area is also great for families with kids, shopping, and general relaxation. Highly recommend.

The hotel is quite large, and the rooms are nice. We booked a room with a hot spring bath. We were told the 'Royal Hot Spring' is the best, but the indoor area is just one large co-ed section with no separate kids' area. If you mind noise, don't get your hopes up for this hot spring. There's a small outdoor section, but it was really crowded, so we didn't bother.
