Dongsi Hotel Beijing (Near Wangfujing)

I had the best experience in terms of staff going above and beyond. My girlfriend didn't bring her laptop charger thinking we can buy a powerbank in Miniso with the capable power but it turned out they only sell powerbank for cp. The staff suggested to download ******* app and we can order a powerbank with higher wattage and be delivered within an hour and since we didnt have a Chinese phone number, he typed in his number and we were able to order the powerbank. We were also able to order food using his number haha. He also gave us tip when riding didi, so we didn't have a hard time booking one. In terms of facilities, I didn't like the bed because it's too firm for me, they didn't have a hair blower, can't enjoy the tv as it's all in Chinese. Daily cleaning of room is a plus and replishment of bottled water and slippers. In terms of location, it's near Dongsi station but there's no convenience store around the area. Overall, it's still a good experience.

So, I stayed at the Dongsi Hotel, and the location near Wangfujing is seriously perfect for hitting the sights in Beijing. I’m giving it a strong 4 out of 5 stars, and honestly, that score is all thanks to the amazing people working there, because the room itself was a totally different story. Seriously, the staff were rockstars. They were warm, super helpful, and quick with everything I needed. They gave great local tips, helped out with my luggage, and just made me feel welcome every time I walked by. They are definitely the best thing about this place, and they worked hard to make up for the room's issues. The room, though? Big letdown. It felt genuinely old and tired, and maintenance is clearly overdue. The biggest problem was this gross, musty smell that just hung around all day, no matter how much I tried to air the place out. It made relaxing tough. Worse, there was a section of the wall that had obvious water stains and visible dampness—it looked like it was starting to leak, which is a major worry. Everything felt old, from the furniture to the general wear, and it’s clear these rooms need a total overhaul. Basically, the Dongsi Hotel is a mixed bag. The location is killer and the staff deserve all the praise. If you just need a place to crash and really value great service over having a pristine room, you’ll probably be fine. Just be ready for the older look, the chronic damp smell, and maybe checking the walls for spots. Fix those infrastructure issues, and this place would easily be five stars.

The hotel is very close to the DongSi station line 5 & 6. Only about 10 minutes walk from the station. I arrived a day before the victory parade so it was on lock down mode from 6 pm to 12 pm the next day. The receptionist took the time to explain this and asked me to stock up on food.

The hotel location is perfect for travel around the city by metro, less than 300m from Dongsi station. Hotel room is not modern but it is very clean, it would be perfect if there are some clothes hanger in the toilet You can visit Wangfujing pedestrial street by foot to enjoy Beijing night life atmosphere.  Breakfast is not included in room price, but it’s easy to find local food around the hotel, just walk

My overall experience at the hotel was positive. The location is convenient and close to the metro, making it easy to get around. The room was decent for a solo traveler. I must highlight the outstanding service and hospitality of the two receptionists (02 girls); they were incredibly helpful in booking tickets for local attractions and were friendly, with a good understanding of English.

Xiaowang, Xiaojia has good service and very nice. We will comeback in the next time.
