Grand Hyatt Beijing at Oriental Plaza

This Chinese New Year, I brought my whole family, including seniors and children. We chose this hotel based on good reviews and the swimming pool. Upon arrival, it was as excellent as ever, and the front desk upgraded our room type. We were a group of seven, and they kindly upgraded our package and provided extra beds. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The executive lounge dining was superb; afternoon tea extended until 7:30 PM, and it was uncrowded with a great ambiance, perfect for a family dinner. The evening pool was absolutely amazing – it felt like being at a Bali resort right here in Beijing! The kids loved it and played for two days straight. I'd definitely recommend it for future visits.

This was my second stay, and it was an excellent experience. Check-out was incredibly smooth. Chris was quick to resolve any issues and provided warm, impressive service. Coming to Grand Hyatt feels less like receiving service and more like being welcomed by an old friend. I'll definitely choose to stay here again!

The room was spotless, and the bed's firmness was just right. The service, in particular, was absolutely fantastic! For anyone visiting Beijing for tourism or business, this hotel offers incredible value for money. The prime location, coupled with such excellent service and a luxurious breakfast buffet, is truly outstanding! Plus, you can even catch a glimpse of what looks like an old residence of some unknown imperial relative.

This was my child's first trip to the capital, and our itinerary revolved around Tiananmen Square. After doing some research, I chose the Grand Hyatt Beijing. I originally booked an executive king room, but the newly renovated rooms were a bit small. So, for a total of less than 1000 RMB for four nights, we upgraded to a much larger room facing Peking Union Medical College Hospital, with a distant view of the Forbidden City complex. The space was open and very accommodating for an extra bed for the child. The hotel's location is also very convenient; it's a short walk to Wangfujing subway station and the pedestrian street, with many restaurants we wanted to try nearby. From check-in to check-out, we experienced the delightful service of a high-end hotel. The view, bedding, cleanliness, and the lounge were all very satisfying. What was truly a pleasant surprise was that on the third day of our stay, which happened to be my birthday, I returned to the room to find a birthday cake and a thoughtful card prepared by the Grand Club. Such a lovely touch!
