Chongwenmen Hotel

Clean and convenient becuase hotel is close to MRT and convenience store, verry good location, there are escalator when go to hotel from MRT Chongwenmen. Stuff some can speak English and kind to foreigners, highly recommend here

Location is next to Chongwenmen metro station which is great. It has line 2 and line 5 and easily reached out to other lines . Easy connection to airport too. Hotel is not brand new but clean enough for a comfortable stay.

Excellent location and service. The staff were very helpful and lovely. Reception could speak English, a huge plus. The rating system doesn't do justice for how well located the hotel is. You can eat at a different restaurant every day for a month just within 200 meters. The subway is directly outside, so easy transport. The hotel is showing its age as the carpets and wallpaper need replacing. But the hotel was always clean and tidy. The cleaners visit your room every day. None of my possessions went missing, trustworthy. The breakfast was functionally okay, I think it is better to walk outside and try the restaurants and stalls. Also free water everyday, more than I could drink wss provided to my room.

Location is everything. I would say a once glamorous hotel but over time the sheen has faded but still has some touches of its former glare in the 1980s. Stayed over three rooms for a week in April. It is very central Beijing close to Tiananmen 5 underground stops away, but has multiple restaurants within 90 seconds, and being on a main Metro line, gives access to the best Beijing can offer. The rooms are adequate and clean, but could do with cooling, even in April. Staff were outstanding, and all went the extra mile with assistance.

Great location as the hotel is located besides Subway station, however, the hotel is rundown, cleaning service is good as usual for China standard.

The location is right above the Chongwenmen Station and served by 2 train lines. Convenient for tourists who are visiting places of interest. A few shopping centres and local eateries next to the hotel. The room is decent in size and cleanliness. Check in and out process were smooth. Will check in this hotel again if travel to Beijing again.

Location of the hotel is great! It's right next to the line 2 Chongwenmen Station and a short walk to line 5. There's a supermarket a few building away, which is really easy to go to. The service of the staff at the front desk is terribly disappointing - they refuse to go the extra mile and refused to help book a ride to the airport (we are unable to book it because we do not have a local number). The staff couldn't help us get wifi connected to our phone, we end up using our own phone data throughout our stay. The phone being managed by the automated system informed that we can borrow umbrella with a RMB50 deposit, but we were informed that there is no umbrella when we reached the front desk. The phone system should have been updated to inform that the umbrella has ran out. The rooms we stayed were old and rundown, it smelt like people are smoking in the rooms and there's nothing we can do. In the first room, the water pressure in the first bathroom was quite weak. This room was overlooking the main road, and there is incessant honking from the cars throughout the day, and sounds from the eateries downstairs can be loud at night. In the second room, the room is quite dated and things are not in the best shape. The showerhead holder won't hold in the 2nd bathroom and the lights were too dim, but this room was pleasantly quiet, and my kids has a blast in the theme room. Meanwhile, we want to also highly compliment a housekeeping staff, 李凤兰, for her impeccable service and ensuring that our room is clean and tidy when we get back.
