Excellent location for visiting the Forbidden City, Tiananmen, National Museum and many other attractions as they are within walkable distances or a short ride away. Wangfujing is also around the corner and within walking distance.
The family room that we reserved was of a decent size for 3 person. It comes with a living area and kitchenette. This unit also comes with a washing machine, although the machine does not have drying function.
The best aspect of Hotel Yoo is the service provided by the front desk staff. They were attentive and helpful.
However, the condition of the room and the level of cleanliness are subpar.
The room shows some wear and it's all held together by "home repair", not the level you would expect of a hotel. Parts of the floor tiling in the living area had been damage and you can tell that maintenance patch it up with some plastic over the top of the damaged tiles. It's just "plastered" over the damaged parts. The hotel owner needs to invest more in maintenance and facelift.
The biggest concern would be housekeeping and cleanliness standards. It seems like our unit wasn't vacuumed on a daily basis. Either that or some areas were missed by housekeeping over our 6 nights stay.
Also, the shower area was constantly clogged with hair, which impeded water drainage. Housekeeping doesn't seem to be able to spot this due to the black tiles in the shower area.
