My parents and I had an amazing stay this February! The 2nd to 4th floors offer great privacy and are really quiet. Opening the window, you're greeted by the beautifully lit Gubei Water Town, and looking up, you can see the magnificent Great Wall at night – my parents absolutely loved it. The room was clean and cozy, with full amenities and comfortable bedding, ensuring a good night's sleep for the elderly. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, sending directions in advance, recommending local delicacies, and being very welcoming and attentive. This was by far the worst B&B I've ever booked. It was so bad that we didn't even check in that night, effectively throwing our money away, and had to book another room at a nearby B&B! 1. The hygiene was appalling; the floors, tables, sheets, and duvet covers were all incredibly dirty! 2. Almost all the lights were flickering, which was extremely dazzling! 3. The bathroom drain had a terrible stench that made me want to vomit! 4. The owner was completely dishonest! Before we left, I specifically asked the owner twice if we could enter the ancient town without pre-booking tickets.
