Hotels in Shunyi District, Beijing

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for one night during a layover in Beijing. Here’s what I want to say: if you’re flying with a layover and need a place to stay overnight, this is the place to go! The hotel is located just a 10–15 minute drive from the airport. Guests can arrange a transfer service that picks them up at the airport and takes them back the next morning. I arrived at 6 PM and contacted the hotel from the airport—this service is completely free if you book through Trip.com (a huge thank you to that wonderful service!). A hotel representative explained exactly where to catch the shuttle in excellent English. Thanks to the clear instructions, finding the shuttle bus stop was easy. As I mentioned, the hotel is a short 10–15 minute drive away. Nearby, there are other transit hotels, as well as cafes, convenience stores, and massage parlors—basically everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel itself is spotless, and the rooms are spacious, cozy, and very comfortable. The service and staff are excellent. The food selection is fantastic! My room rate included not only breakfast (a very varied buffet) but also dinner (soup, rice with vegetables and meat, and pasta with vegetables)—everything was delicious. There is an enclosure with live llamas in the hotel courtyard—a unique and charming touch—with tables nearby where you can have coffee or a cigarette. There is also a free coffee machine near the reception area. My room was spacious and equipped with absolutely everything I needed, plus a complimentary gift from the hotel—a really nice touch. After spending the night in this wonderful place, I want to say a huge thank you to all the hotel staff who maintain such high standards of service and a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to friends. If you are reading this review, I highly recommend staying at this wonderful hotel too!!!!! Thank you for the magnificent welcome❤️

Two years later, I'm back at the Cordis Beijing Capital Airport. It wasn't until I saw the airplane model in the lobby that it clicked: Donghai Airlines, The Langham Shenzhen, and Cordis Donghai are all under the same ownership. No wonder they share the same prefix! Of course, as a guest, the owner might not be the most important thing; it's the management company and their level of professionalism that truly matters. The Cordis brand ensures that the management and service here will never disappoint. It's the same friendly atmosphere, warm service, and exquisite food. I was particularly impressed by the staff I encountered in departments like the Front Office, Concierge, Ming Court, and The Place all-day dining restaurant. A special thank you to Front Office Manager Serena, Front Desk Manager Jessie, Duty Manager Lock, Assistant Director of F&B Tom, Ming Court Manager Terry, and The Place Restaurant Manager Anson, among others. Their dedication and guest-first approach truly made me feel the warmth and professionalism of Cordis. Cordis Donghai is definitely worth another visit!

I landed at 2 a.m. with an onward flight at 3 a.m. the next day, so I needed somewhere to sleep, shower and wait out a full day. This worked perfectly. DiDi from Terminal 2 was 45 RMB, about fifteen minutes, and check-in at that hour was no problem. The hotel is new and clean throughout: rain shower, projector in the room, floor-to-ceiling windows. Free laundry room with washers and dryers, detergent from reception, tea station in the lobby. Honestly about the noise: it sits directly under the approach path and you hear planes clearly. Earplugs (available at reception) solve it completely and I slept fine, but a light sleeper would struggle without them. New residential area, with dozens of small restaurants and shops within walking distance. Metro is fifteen minutes on foot or a couple of stops by bus. Very good value. Recommended.

I have to give a huge shout-out to Jo at the front desk! My check-in process was smooth and efficient from start to finish. Jo was incredibly friendly, communicated patiently, and proactively informed me about all the important hotel details. She answered all my questions thoroughly, providing meticulous and thoughtful service. The hotel room was clean, the environment was quiet, and my overall stay was excellent. It was a very satisfying experience, and I highly recommend it.

This is my go-to choice for business trips; I stay here for long periods every year. The rooms have all been renovated and upgraded, and the facilities are excellent. The airport shuttle service is convenient, and the lounge benefits, including the laundry credit, are a great plus. My only minor feedback is that the new interns need more training, especially regarding room cleaning. The hotel facilities are great, but the service needs improvement. (1) One of the main reasons I chose your hotel was the airport shuttle service. When I checked in, I asked the front desk about the shuttle arrangements and told them my friend had a flight that evening and I needed to accompany him to the airport. The front desk staff informed me that I could take the hotel shuttle to the airport that night. However, when I further inquired about returning to the hotel from the airport, the front desk told me that if the hotel had already dropped me off at the airport, they would not provide a pick-up service from the airport back to the hotel. I questioned this at the time because the hotel advertises an “airport shuttle” service, and I understood “shuttle” to include both drop-off and pick-up services. So, I confirmed with the front desk: if I took the hotel shuttle to the airport, only using the drop-off service, should I still be able to use a pick-up service from the airport when I returned? After my repeated inquiries, the front desk finally agreed to arrange for a pick-up. Although I ultimately chose to call my own taxi for both going to and returning from the airport and did not actually use the hotel's pick-up service, the entire communication process felt very unreasonable. If the hotel has restrictions on the number of times, routes, or conditions of use for the airport shuttle service, they should clearly state them when guests check in, rather than telling guests directly, “if we drop you off, we can’t pick you up,” after they inquire, which leads to guests misunderstanding the hotel's service. (2) During this stay, I brought a foreign friend to the hotel. I had already explicitly told the front desk in advance that this friend was just a visitor, would not be staying overnight, and would leave that same night. The front desk still asked for his passport. After explaining the situation multiple times, I cooperated and provided the passport, clearly requesting that it be handled as a visitor's situation. However, the next day, before I left, when I inquired again at the front desk about the registration details, I learned that the hotel had still processed the information as if he were a registered guest. I was also confused by this. If the hotel has a regulation requiring registration for foreign visitors, I can understand and cooperate, but the front desk should clearly inform guests about the nature, purpose, and specific rules of the registration during the process, rather than having the guest discover a discrepancy between the actual registration and the previous communication only after repeated inquiries.

This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel's airport shuttle service was incredibly convenient, using an 8-seater business van. The driver was very kind and helped with luggage. It only took about fifteen minutes to get to the airport, so there was no rush at all for our flight. The room was spotlessly clean, with no strange odors, and once the doors and windows were closed, we couldn't hear any outside noise. The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes with a homely taste. There's a supermarket right outside the hotel, making it easy to buy water and snacks, so the location is excellent. The self-service laundry room is equipped with a dryer and an iron, which was super practical for long trips, allowing us to wash, dry, and iron our clothes promptly. Overall, the facilities are complete, and the service is thoughtful. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next layover.

I chose this Mercure for a business layover, and my experience exceeded expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the terminal, and there's a free shuttle service to and from the airport, so there's no need to rush for early flights. The lobby design is modern and grand, check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were friendly and proactively helped upgrade my room. The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was exceptionally good; I could barely hear any planes taking off or landing. The mattress was just right, which is incredibly important for travelers catching flights. The air conditioning and hot water were excellent, and the Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Breakfast offered a rich variety, with both Chinese and Western options, including a live noodle station. It offered good value for money. While dining options nearby are limited, the hotel's own restaurant served good food. My only minor regret is that during peak hours, you need to call ahead to confirm shuttle times. Overall, whether it's for a transit stop or catching an early flight, this is a highly recommended choice, and I would definitely stay here again!

Kudos to the staff at between 10:30pm-11pm of my arrival date. I immediately called the hotel reception the moment I arrived at the airport because I needed to be picked up. Fortunately, while I was looking for the hotel vehicle, the receptionist stayed on the line andwas very helpful and could speak English. Very fast and efficient check in. Would stay again.

After studying abroad for over two months, I have finally returned to China. My first stop after landing was this hotel near Beijing Capital International Airport. It offers airport pick‑up and drop‑off services, along with a lovely environment and delicious breakfast. These have greatly eased the stress from my tiring journey. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the hard‑working front‑desk staff. They are conscientious and responsible. They also gave me some extra gifts and helped me send a parcel. I am truly thankful to them！
