Een romantisch hotelletje, dat nu wordt gerenoveerd door een super enthousiaste eigenaar, die de gasten in het Spaarbankbos een Sardijnse beleving wil bieden. Ondanks de drukte rond de renovatie voelden we ons zeer welkom. Wat een schitterende plek! Je moet wel over de gave beschikken om 's morgens vroeg het geluid van de vogelconcerten voorrang te geven en daardoor het geluid van het verkeer dat over de A28 raast, niet te horen. Wij gaan zéker nog eens naar dit leuke hotel als het klaar is. Wat we hoorden: Hoogeveen kan zo'n hotel goed gebruiken! We hopen voor de nieuwe eigenaar dat zijn droom werkelijkheid wordt.

Het hotel is enigszins gedateerd , hetgeen met name in de slaapkamers is te zien. Neemt niet weg dat deze schoon en redelijk ruim zijn. Het ontbijt is overvloedig en geserveerd. Diner is zeer wisselend. De locatie is prachtig. Goede uitvalsplaats voor wandelen en fietsen. Minpuntje is dat de eigenaren, die overigens zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk zijn, 's-avonds om 10.00 uur gaan sluiten.

Na een lange fietstocht gastvrij ontvangen en heerlijk geslapen. Wat een mooie lokatie midden in bosrijke omgeving en dichtbij het centrum van Hoogeveen. Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding en gastheer en gastvrouw die het vak in de vingers hebben.
