We stayed at this hotel for a 2 night break. Our room was immaculate, very spacious with a great view.The bed extremely comfortable. We ate breakfast and dinner on both days and can say the food was utterly amazing,huge compliments to the kitchen team.The service throughout our stay was warm , friendly and very helpful.A particular mention must go to Kerry who went above and beyond to look after us so well. There were only 2 areas we feel let the hotel down a little bit, the outside looked a bit tired and doesn't reflect how amazing it is inside .Also we used the pool 4 times and had fabulous swims but again the pool area looked a bit tired ( sorry) .We would certainly visit again and would thoroughly recommend. The hotel, food and staff were fabulous. Our room was big and comfortable with a huge bathroom and soft fluffy towels. The staff were so pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us. We ate in the main dining room, we were a party of 18. The menu was extensive and although we all had 3 courses and mostly chose different things, the service was outstanding and food delicious. The breakfast too was fabulous. I would recommend a stay at this hotel and will certainly return. Thank you staff at Riverdale Hall.

The best endorsement I can give is that we return regularly. Riverdale Hall Hotel is consistently well run, with friendly and committed staff, eagerness to meet guests' needs, from dietary requirements to dogs. The food is great, the rooms comfortable, and the hotel has a beautiful setting and grounds with stunning views from most rooms. It is ideal as a stop-over or as a relaxing base to explore Northumberland and is not just a place to stay, but also a bonus for one's visit or holiday.

We were on a walking holiday with a group of friends. Our stay at Riverdale Hall Hotel was absolutely delightful. Our room was huge, warm and comfortable. Everything about Riverdale Hall was a delight. The staff was impeccable, they couldn’t do enough for you. Kerry was especially lovely, as was all the staff. Simon was very helpful as regard to the fishing you can do from the hotel or further down the river. The food was especially delicious. First class. There was such a choice at breakfast and dinner. There was packed lunch if you wanted it. A beautiful swimming pool and sauna. The grounds were gorgeous, a beautiful walk along the river that lies directly behind the hotel. I would really love to return to this hotel.

Food review as only diners The first night we ate a bar meal but paid to sit in the restaurant as the bar area we were in wasn't that comfy. Paid £3 each for restaurant. I had lasagne which was delicious and plentiful. We booked for the following evening and weren't disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service and staff excellent. The wine was reasonably priced too. I had the ballotine of chicken which was cooked to perfection and well- presented. Downsides were that the bar area had a couple of noisy dogs in and one a little out of control.

Two night wowcher for overnight stay deal. Lee greeted us on arrival and we were allocated a garden room wow. It was just what we wanted warm and cozy spotlessly clean and even had a few chairs outside the patio doors where you could sit in better weather. We booked into the pool and really enjoyed having the pool to ourselves and the sauna was superb. We dined in the bar area both nights and found the food to be very tasty with good portion sizes and good value for money. We had breakfast one morning which was very tasty. All the members of staff we encountered were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. An excellent hotel for a relaxing break and would definitely stay again if in the area

We stayed here for a weekend and enjoyed it a lot.The room was clean, the breakfasts were excellent and it was great to have a pool to be able to use. The hotel is ideally located, with lots to do and see within walking distance. We would happily return.

We booked this hotel as a Groupon and couldn't believe the quality of the stunning room. Canopy bed, lovely view beautiful decor and what looked like a brand new carpet. Bathroom was lovely with a claw foot bath and shower. We sampled both the restaurant and the bar menu and both were lovely and huge portions! Very reasonable prices too. We had breakfast on the first day , which was also both reasonably priced and delicious 😋. Staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. Had a swim on the afternoon, and the pool needs a serious update, but I had it all to myself which was ultra relaxing. We would definitely recommend and would go again! Great weekend, thank you x

We enjoyed a great weekend at the hotel . We bought a Groupon deal, trying to save a few pounds, what a brilliant stay we had. The staff are so courteous and friendly. The food was fantastic. We are vegetarian and opted for the lasagne and burger, we were amazed by the quality and portion size !! The hotel itself us a lovely nineteenth century Manor house, quite lovely, positioned on the river bank. Our room was lively. Very tastefully decorated and furnished with a balcony overlooking the old cricket field toward the river. We didn't have time to use the pool as took advantage of the lovely walks in the area. We look forward to returning . Thanks for a lovely weekend!
