As written, this place should not be open. It was filthy. Room smell was not pleasant as carpeting was decades old. Linens stained, hair in towels & shower. Toothpaste (that's what it looked like) smears on sink fixture. Truly not a good place to stay. Facility needs a complete & total renovation including new air/heat unit. Do not stay here.

We got to Beloit, IL. and needed a place to sleep for the night and stopped at one place and found no rooms on the first floor. We went next door to this place and found out they had an elevator, so our legs could carry us to the room. The check-in was easy and the clerk was very helpful. The room had and Iron and board, good shower, the normal amenities except no hair drier. The had a breakfast with biscuits and gravy and eggs plus the normal continental fare. The bed and room were comfortable. Good stay.

I stayed in this hotel for almost a week for a business trip to my company which is located in Beloit. I was staying their with my colleagues. Holiday Inn express was just like a "home away from home for me" it was quite comfortable and was located in a very good area. Although it is not a very big hotel it had a swimming pool, a fitness center and business meeting room. The room of the hotel were very clean and it had free WFI which was a plus for a business customer. The morning breakfast was really good and delicious. Trough the hotel did not have a restaurant their were many good restaurants in walking distance form the hotel and it had quite a bit shopping place near by like Walmart, Manards, Staples etc which made my stay quiet like home. I will be staying in the same hotel when ever i am their for business.

We arrived late and left early as we were just passing through Beloit on our way home to Seattle. One thing that I noticed as soon as we walked into the building to head to our room, was a really funky smell. It may have had something to do with the pool, but it was an unpleasant smell. However, the smell was not noticeable in the main hallway or our room. This seemed to be a smaller, older HIE, but it was comfortable. Carpeting in the room looked fairly new; not so much in the hallway. Tv was not a flat screen, but plenty of channels to choose from. Breakfast area was not attended well. Things should have been replentished more often. A couple minor issues: 1) The bathroom counter had absolutely no usable space. Counter space over the toilet tank does not count. 2) There was a counter outside the bathroom that held the coffeemaker. There was a picture over the counter--if this had been a mirror, it would have been a nice place to use to get ready while leaving the bathroom for someone else. One major issue: 1) The WiFi did NOT work. Only one bar coverage. If you advertise WiFi, it needs to be a strong enough signal for people to get online. I did fill out the "What did you think about our WiFi" form, but it seems to me that if they are asking for you to fill out a form, then they already know that there are problems with the WiFi. All in all, a nice place to stay. But they really need to do something with their WiFi. It's something that I count on when I stay at any HIE.

I was recommended this motel by a friend. I am impressed. Newer motel that is clean and comfortable. Smaller sized room, but good sized for 2 people. Microwave and refrigerator and coffee maker. Friendly staff and plenty of parking. In a nice location with restaurants and shopping in the area.

They tell you "no pets" but saw someone with two large dogs! No hot tub and exercise room was locked.
