The room is very clean. There is a balcony where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the view.

No issues with apartment. However €200 was taken straight from my account on arrival on 6th November. I checked out on 10th leaving place spotless and taking out my rubbish and still have not received my money back. I now have to go through an online refunds process to get it back although it should have happened automatically. Not impressed and would not return for this reason. They owe me €200 euros with no sign as yet of getting it back.

Second visit to these apartments. First Visit was in June 2022. Again, cannot fault anything! We were only there for 4 nights however check in process was smooth and given a room on the 5th floor. We were advised before we arrived of the pool work and given the time of year didn't expect to be sitting out here anyway so all was good. Hired the safe and paid our room deposit by debit card - left on the Wednesday and the money was back in my account by the Friday. Location was great, and we all enjoyed the walk down to the beach and marina area. We we also lucky with our weather and as a winter break had trips planned - Malaga football game, bio parc and we even managed a beach day. There was scheduled works to the water tank however we were informed the day before so no issues. Would recommend and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

We had a very mixed stay at the hotel overall and although there were some highlights, the downsides outweighed them. Firstly, as many have mentioned, they do try and upgrade you to a higher floor or upgrade room on arrival for 60 to 80 euros. If you don't, you have to wait in reception or by pool for hours. They don't tell you when room is ready, so keep asking. Just what you don't want after travelling. The pool area is well below average. Not enough sunbeds, the ones there are just about serviceable, and the general area is a bit tired. It never felt a nice place to relax and just felt a bit grubby. The rooms are definitely the high part, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. If it wasn't for the rooms the review would be 2 star. The general area is okay, well within reach of local bars and restaurants and a good Mercadona right around the corner. Our stay was marred by being locked out of our room on the last night. The key and lock totally failed and we had to wait in our swimming costumes for 6 hours until it was fixed. Quite a stressful wait as we needed to pack, and eat having been at the beach all day with our food in the room. As seemed normal with this hotel, we had to keep asking to get any updates and eventually persuaded them to give a temporary room so we could shower, with Jet2s help. We finally got in and hastily packed ready for a 7am pick up. Overall, a nice holiday but wouldn't return to this hotel.

Just returned from a week here. Perfect hotel, all the facilities you need and more. Great location for the beach , restaurants etc. it was our 2nd visit to the resort and we preferred this end of town to the marina end , far more choice and generally cheaper out and about. Rooms are a great size, staff are very helpful and friendly too. The €200 deposit is not an issue , they only ask you to keep the kitchen tidy. Mine was refunded to my card before we got off the plane home , perfect. Only downside for us was the pool , not really big enough for the size of hotel not much view from it. But that’s a personal choice so I certainly wouldn’t mark them down for that as many people were happy with it. I’d have no hesitation recommending or returning here. Loved It. Gracias

Booked with Jet2holidays and stayed at Benalmadena Principe from 29th June until 10th July 2023. We arrived around noon so our apartment for 4 wasn't ready. We were offered an apartment straight away if we paid 65 euros extra. We declined the offer as we really didn't want an apartment on a high floor as I use a walking stick. There were lifts but they were usually occupied and you had to wait ages for them. After returning from a nearby cafe we were given an apartment on the 3rd floor. It had a spacious balcony overlooking the gardens. The apartment had good air conditioning. There was a washing machine but we never used it. I felt the pool area was a little small and crowded. As advertised the towels and linen were changed every 4 days. No entertainment but the reception was open all the time. There was a cafeteria separately owned. Staff were pleasant but the churros I had one morning were disgusting. There is a little shop next door to the apartments which was handy. The general location of the apartments was fine, close to shops, restaurants etc. Enjoyed our holiday in Benalmadena but I wouldn't return to the Benalmadena Principe apartments. The outside of the building is very run down looking generally. I guess you get what you pay for...

Do not be put off by all of the bad reviews on this place! We arrived as a group of 9 (3x families) on Boxing Day 3 hours earlier than stated check in & were allocated rooms straight away. Wasn't asked to pay for upgraded view & offered an alternative room if ours on floor 7 was too high. We were also given towels on arrival. Rooms are very spacious & clean. Balconies are a great size & we got sun on ours for a good majority of the day with a sea view to one side. The rooms has everything you need - Microwave, oven top, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, iron & ironing board, washer/dryer. There was also a small complimentary box of cleaning products with a miniature washing up liquid, sponge & dishwasher tabs. The downside is that both beds & sofa beds were rather uncomfortable & pillows are not much use at they are long & thin. They were both hard & my back was in pieces which made me restless at night. We stayed for 7 days & the cleaner came in once in that time to replenish towels, toilet rolls & fit clean sheets. You do have to take out your own rubbish but there are large bins outside the hotel to your right a few feet away. Unfortunately the pool was closed as it was being refurbed of which we were not informed before our holiday. This was a shame as we were looking forward to sitting out by it to relax. There is a supermarket outside of the hotel doors which i think was fairly priced & lots of bars & restaurants around the hotel - Very good location but a fair walk to the marina (around 20 mins at least). Our deposit was back in our account around 12 hours after leaving the hotel. Overall good experience & would use the apartments again!
