Shilo Inn Suites Hotel - Bend

The room itself seemed clean, and it was well-designed with a vaulted ceiling and small balcony with a view of the hills above the Deschutes River. That's the only good thing I can say about it. It was very run-down: stairway carpets so worn they had large holes with plywood showing; beat-up furniture; a screen door slider that was stuck; slow to non-existent WiFi, a fuzzy TV picture; and a moldy shower curtain. Service was terrible too. My room was missing: a light bulb in the desk lamp, coffee cups (there was a small coffee maker), and soap of any kind (there were small tubes of lotion and conditioner, but nothing else). I asked the front desk for those things, but three days later still hadn't received them. A pile of wet pool towels sat in the hallway for four days. The restaurant was closed and empty; a paper with "restaurant for lease" typed on it had been taped to the window, but had fallen off over time and was lying on the ground. I asked for a receipt when paying for the room, but the printer was out of toner and I got handed two mostly blank sheets.

The hotel was fine enough. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The services were lacking - no continental breakfast even though it was listed on the welcome sheet and the in room tv had very limited channels and poor quality. Would’ve liked to have had dish or satellite to watch more and better quality tv. The room was large but not clean. Big pile of dirt on the carpet that was obvious. It was an okay stay overall.

******* did great and was great customer service and everything shallow inn is the one that stole money from me without confirmation change it in the computer system in corporate didn't even notice I'm very irate very disappointed on how shilo inn suites and hotels and still haven't received money back

Inside the room was not so bad, but the property is old and filthy. The hallways, stairs, doors look very bad. Doors to the stairs and hallways are left open (anyone can get to your hotel room door). Only few old cars in the whole hotel ...

Can see room numbers in dark. They are not lighted. Had to go on wild goose chase to find room.

So the first thing i noticed when i got to ky room no garbage cans. Then went to turn on the TV no batterys in remote. Went to front besk they had no batterys. Then had 2 queen beds only 1 pillow on each one. No extras. Then no blankets on the bed. The room needed a nice dusting.

There where spiders dead and living the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling there was dirty sticky stuff on the tables

When we arrived to a conference nearby the Shilo Inn the front desk staff seemed a little...sleepy. Which is fine, however, when we arrived to our room for the first time it was COMPLETELY trashed. It was clear there was a squatter in the room and we had to literally run out of the room. It was the scariest experience I've ever had at a hotel. When we told the front desk staff they merely responded with, "I guess we'll need to move you rooms"...umm, no. They were able to give us a refund, but only because we chose the option to pay on site. If we hadn't done that, they said they wouldn't be able to refund!!! It was crazy!

The room was dirty. Very dusty, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The shower had soap scum all over the walls and doors. There were multiple lights without bulbs, the remote didn't have batteries. The fireplace didn't work. It was a nice quiet location on the river and the beding was clean and very comfortable.
