Our first family holiday- 7 adults & 7 children ages 6months, 2years, 3years, 5years, 7years, 9 years and 12years. We arrived at the hotel at around 11am last Wednesday morning, check in was around 30mins, they require your booking confirmation to be printed out, very old school but they printed out for us -to make it quicker I would print out yourself before arrival. Once this is done you pay €1 per cup voucher for around the pool side, this is refunded back to you at the end of your stay providing you still have the receipt, I didn’t so didn’t get my money back, it was only €2 but I’m sure I wasn’t told that I had to keep the receipt to receive my refund & a lot of people don’t get this info either they are make a few € off people daily who haven’t kept their receipts. Access to lodges isn’t until 5pm, which I thought was 3pm before arrival but it’s fine as they have a luggage room and a large toilet for you to get changed into after arrival. You have access to all facilities from the moment you arrive, so waiting around for your lodge isn’t too bad. Lodges are very clean, perfect size and really nice. Only negative about the lodges was the cleaners just made the beds & never changed the bedsheets, so for a week I was sleeping in the same bedsheets, which wasn’t very nice when my baby had a poo explosion on them earlier in the week. Mini fridge is replenished free of charge with soft drinks, we were given two beers & a bottle of cava too although I didn’t drink them. I was in lodge 4213 which is the other end of the resort and was a hilly 15/20 min walk to restaurants, however there is a bus that goes around the resort that is easy to get on. First 4/5days I walked everywhere but then bus the last 2/3days. We had a late breakfast, which after travelling from 3am was mediocre as best, we thought oh gosh is it going to be like this all week, thankfully we had a better experience at dinner time that night. For the rest of the week food was plentiful and varied. Make it to meal times earlier rather than later or you will be left with little choice, food is replenished throughout the evening although maybe 30-45mins before they stop replenishing and you are left with not very much choice. Always something to eat, I think it was only one night I ate a plate of chips & cucumber 😂 I did arrive at 9.30pm though. Ice creams available at all bars, in the restaurants and also there is an ice cream van in the square, drinks were nice, slushy available too, pool bars also do crisps, donuts, sandwiches & savoury pastries too, which is all included. Pools were freezing cold, not one heated pool although this didn’t bother the kids as they were all in there all days we were by the pool. You can also see the Elephants from the infinity pools, lovely to see. Easy access to the zoo which is next door, free access whenever you like, brilliant animals that are clearly well looked after. Lovely grounds too. We watched the birds of prey show which was brilli
