I’d say this is the best hostel in my entire solo trip this year. More spacious rooms and location is just perfect. U can also book breakfast to save on money. They have a bunch of activities but unfortunately I didn’t join in. Had a busy schedule. Don’t hesitate to check it out if u r in Cancun

Best hostel! I really enjoyed the environment of it, super clean and it has a vintage concept. The breakfast could be slightly better but overall can’t complain. And it is on the opposite side of a beach, in 2 mins foot you are there :) couldn’t ask for more

Great location near to the restaurants and bars. Prepare well for the noise near around in the night. But of course you will be a night person when choosing this area.

Very nice stuff! Nice pool. There is a tablet tannins and they do a lot of activity! Very close to all the discos and pub’s.

A hostel where you intend to stay for 1 night but end up staying 2 nights. The breakfast pancakes come out beautifully. You can also choose a different menu. Because there are so many guests, noise is unavoidable.

Good location, very good service at reception from the moment you arrive, music and atmosphere.

The location is excellent. You can do a lot walking around the hotel zone. Close to restaurants, bars, mainly the market and bus stop!

Great margarita cocktail class with Rocket and Johan, so much fun! Rooms are also great with curtains and chargers on each bed. Across the road from beach and short distance to supermarkets and beach clubs. 2 easy bus rides away from airport.

I had a really great time at Mayan Monkey hostel, specially at the cocktail class, with Rocket and Johan, they were amazing and friendly teaching us everything in spanish, so a cocktail and a spanish class! It’s the best thing to do after spending a full day in their pool!

Love the Latin night The Mc is super good entertainer, the happy hour and the venue, a real sunset summer party, exceeded expectations!. I recommended the hostel for chill, relaxed and open mind people who love adventures and cool stories to tell.

I was at Mayan Monkey just by my own and it was incredible. If you want to travel alone MM is the best choise. I had such a great time at the talent show Rocket the Mc is amazing his energy is wonderful The music that my Tadeo plays is cool Love Mayan Monkey, definitely I would come back.

Hostels all have a unique feature or amenities that make them stand out. I found a gem in Cancun that is centrally located and very walkable. The staff is knowledgeable and the services from the front desk to their onsite restaurant separate them from some local boutique hotels. My reservation includes breakfast and there were tons of options that guests can choose from. I ordered steak chilaquiles with verdes sauce and a medium fried egg where the yolk perfectly came out. I was also provided the option to have tea, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit with granola and yogurt and toast with butter and a nice fruit spread. Another great thing about this location is that there is an onsite laundry that only cost $6 per load and the staff gives you soap and fabric softener. I was told that the laundry loads are for one hour so this gives plenty of time to check emails or exercise in-between loads. The check-in process is great and you should expect to pay an additional fee at check-in, which is at 3 p.m. There is no early check-in so guests are encouraged to wait in the bar areas but there is a late checkout option. There are also charges for storing your luggage ($5 a day for the first two days and $3 each additional day) but there is plenty of storage in your dormitory. The lockers are fairly large so you can fit a small spinner or several medium to small bags in your locker. You can also keep your large luggage in your room but you need a personal lock for the locker. The front desk does not provide locks. For the most part, there was traditional wear and tear that requires attention like in the bathrooms and some common areas onsite. There is also a bike station but it is truly hard to ride in traffic. I bought my own bike and had to walk it through traffic. There are numerous shops and restaurants all in walking distance but the Surfin Burrito is located across the street and it is open 24 hours a day. If you want to venture to the beach it is nearby and so are local buses that require exact change in pesos. Tons of things to enjoy so come open to visit recreational activities in Cancun. My dorm was only $16 a day and $3 additional for gourmet breakfast (which you need to select at the time of the booking)... have fun!

The food is soo good! Try the burrito and tacos with shrimp. Also the activities thru the days are amazing. The stuff is always nice and so helpful. The nights here are amazing. Every night there is a new party. And Roxy is the best haha!! She is mostly working at night and she is nice! The rooms are clean and really nice. I will come back next year!

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed at. Great location, amazing staff, clean, and so welcoming. Oh, AND THE BREAKFAST IS INCREDIBLE!! Definitely get the included breakfast because you get an entree, FRESH fruit with yogurt, toast and jam/butter, and coffee AND orange juice. Seriously, one of the best experiences. You have to try this place out!!
