The environment is quite nice, and the owner's breakfast is good.

The location is great. There is one sink and one toilet. The bath in the building uses regular boiled water, they explained, and they gave me information about a nearby public hot spring.

I had a pleasant conversation with the owner. It was a good day. I was also glad I could use the steam bath near the inn. They even accommodated my early departure for breakfast.

The location is good for sightseeing in Hell, and there are many hot springs to drop by. The owner gave us a handmade map, so we could enjoy the hot springs in the morning and at night by looking at it. I stayed in a dormitory, but I happened to be the only woman there, so it was spacious and comfortable.

Beppu is a famous hot spring resort, but the main purpose of this trip was not to go there, but to take part in the Sunflower Casual Cruise, an event that runs around the Seto Inland Sea during the day. I chose this lodging as it seemed like a place where I could relax on a budget. 1. If you book on duty you get a discount equivalent to the youth hostel membership rate. I was lucky as my membership card had expired, 2. The rice cooked in a clay pot was delicious. There weren't many side dishes, but the grilled yellowtail in foil had a good broth. The yellowtail was different, if not much tastier than in Tokyo. 3. I enjoyed the local information. As I was walking to Blood Pond Jigoku, I came across the direct sales store of the pomelo processing factory that I had talked about, and felt like I'd gotten a little something extra. I think this is a great lodging for those who can relate to this atmosphere. "
