ARCOTEL Velvet Berlin

Great place to stay for visiting Berlin. There's a tram stop right across the street. The cleaning staff were attentive and friendly. The reception staff were also friendly, but a bit less so, a bit colder. The breakfast was varied and good. There was no hairdryer. I would definitely return.

The junior suite was really nice, and the location was superb, both for public transport and for getting around on foot. There are several restaurants and pubs in the area.

While the stay was good, it didn't quite meet the standards of a 4-star hotel overall. The staff still has a lot of room for improvement, both in terms of friendliness and dress code. Additionally, the 'breakfast room' is located in the lobby, which, of course, constantly creates a noisy environment with guests checking in/out, waiting for their bus, or simply passing through to their rooms from outside.

The room was too hot, and there were no instructions to help guests operate the temperature control. The evening/night service was almost non-existent.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – truly excellent! Unfortunately, the suite was not at all clean (dust, hair in the room), which is very disappointing for a four-star hotel. This urgently needs improvement. The bed was comfortable. There were 4 drinks available in the *mini-bar*, but we didn't touch them because there was hair in the fridge as well.

This is a clean, small hotel with a good breakfast and decent-sized rooms. Nothing fancy, but it has everything you need. The check-in can be done at any time, which is really convenient. The location is great for getting around, whether you're walking, taking the tram, or using the subway. Recommended.
