Harbour Inn - Guesthouse

Pros: - reception was pleasant during check in/out and so was breakfast staff; was the only time I was encouraged to take a coffee/tea for the road - very nicely renovated room with heated bathroom floor a plus, made most of space - welcoming place overall - hot water, coffee, biscuits available for guests throughout the day - Netflix and Youtube available for streaming on their accounts Cons: - entry ramp may be a bit awkward for some staff, as is front door which requires a Viking push :) - smaller property so no amenities like hot tub, breakfast spread on the smaller side (but good), and no dinner option, but great restaurant a few steps away Summary: Harbour Inn Guesthouse is a lovely modernized stay with the little touches that bring that value proposition higher. Great staff, streaming on television, in-floor bathroom heating and a welcoming place overall with their guest area were all enhancements to our stay. You can tell the cons are very minor nitpicks and do not deter from the experience. For a remote area, if your travels venture that far out, you will be rewarded with a pleasant stay that is highly recommended. Nice boarding house next to the harbour ( splendid view right from bed) very friendly staff and lovely breakfast Buffet. Highly recommended when on Tour through West iceland. Has no Restaurant itself, but a common kitchenete and a shop&Restaurant next door. A Gas station (scarce in Western iceland) too.

I loved this place. Our view had a beautiful view of the harbor, the shower in the shared bathroom was wonderful (wish I had that shampoo), and the restaurant next door fed me the best salmon! The town is small and walkable. We loved it here. Unfortunately, we had to leave before breakfast, but it looked like it would be suitable. We definitely would stay here again, should we ever be in the area.

Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Reasonable sized rooms, we had a small sink in ours which was nice for brushing teeth, etc. 3 showers in private bathrooms, shared kitchenette space with refrigerator, microwave, etc. Nice small market next door with lots of selections, restaurant/food, and small bar. Very nice breakfast included in the morning with breads, meat, cheese, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, etc. - wide selection. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

This was wonderful. Our room is comfortable, clean, plenty of room for 2, in-room sink, and a beautiful view of the harbor. Coffee/tea was available and provided. There is a shared kitchen and bathroom. The shower was perfect. The restaurant next door provided one of the best salmon dishes I have ever had. Others had a burger and fries, which looked good, too. It is quiet and we feel very safe. I would eagerly stay here again.
