It was great that it was so close to Nibutani Kotan.
The conversations with the guesthouse owner about the Ainu and with the artisans at a nearby facility where Ainu craft workers gather were very interesting, and the materials about the Ainu in the guesthouse were also intriguing.
The guesthouse was clean and had a Scandinavian-style white, green, and blue theme, with photos, musical instruments, and paintings that evoked Hokkaido and the Ainu placed here and there.

We didn't actually want to stay at a hostel with a shared bathroom, but that's all that was available. But everything was so clean that it wasn't a problem after all. It was a pleasant surprise.

ゲストハウスなのでサービスはもちろんシンプルだけれど必要十分。何より清潔さとホスピタリティが抜群でした。
さらに各種博物館や工房へのアクセスも◎ 書籍や漫画もたくさんあって他の滞在者と会話がはずむ空間もありがたかったです。あ、何よりテレビがなくて静かでよかった(笑)

相部屋と言う事でしたが、ベッドは袖壁付いてるので、快適に過ごせました。
また、ご一緒させて頂いた方も常連さんが多く、緊張なく過ごせました。
また、泊まりたい宿です。
近くの平取温泉ゆからで食事、温泉も良かったです。

行ってみたら聖地だった
萱野茂さんと同じ敷地、ご親族が経営というのを現地に行くまで知らなかったので「聖地じゃん」とけっこう感激した。ティッシュが切れたり、サーキュレータのリモコンが一切きかない（おそらく電池切れ）なのがマイナス評価なだけで、新築なのでピカピカだし、掃除も行き届いてるし、お安いし、大変けっこうでした。ゲストハウスしかないけど、この年でゲストハウスなんて行きたくなーい！と思ってましたがなんかサラリーマン御用達のカプセルホテル（ここは慣れてる）っぽくてゲストハウスも悪くないかな。聖地だし。

It was very clean and comfortable. The washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, and kettle are all shared. There is Wi-Fi but no TV. There are no stores nearby, so you have to get food at a convenience store along the way. There is a drive-in-like restaurant about a 10-minute walk away. The cutlets were very delicious. Please check the opening hours.
