房東太太很熱心，本來計劃到達酒店凌晨00:30左右，因為航班晚點集出關人比較多，快00:50才到酒店，房東太太一直在等着我們，因第二天要趕早班火車，還幫我們預訂好了出租車。臨街的房間靠近一酒吧，晚上比較吵，但房間相對比較大，也相對比較乾淨。

I saw nice rooms on photos when I got our room online. Im not a snob while staying somewhere but this was beyond dirty and disgusting. Cracks in the walls, stains on the walls and the ceiling, fuzzy dust, floor so uneven that you almost got vertigo while walking. No one at the reception, so felt very unsafe. But it was cheap so I guess I got what I paid for. Unfortunatly. Thank god I only had to stay one night.

Hotel booking cancelled on the morning of visit by auto email at 4am . No follow up call or message to check we received email. When we arrived reception isn't staffed so had to ring and wait . When she came down we asked why we were not notified by phone or text and were rudely told to " cut the back chat" . The reception was absolutely disgusting so if this represents the Hotel, we had a lucky escape. Worse hotel we have visited .

This is a tricky one to review. Pros: great location if you are out in Bishop Stortford, clean bedding, comfy bed, clean bathroom, friendly staff. Cons: tired entrance hall with holes where locks used to be on the front door, carpet throughout needs replacing, no towel rail or toilet roll holder in the bathroom, no cupboard or hanging space in the room, sofa and furniture very tired, light bulbs not working, hoover and travel cots in the corridors. However the price was very reasonable and you can’t expect perfection for that,

The George is great! And it's in a super convenient location right in the middle of town. I have stayed here loads when going out in the area. Perfect if you need a simple room to stay after a night out.Always clean and the staff are friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Great location 20 mins by public bus (£2) to Stansted airport. There was a tapas bar with DJ across the road that we enjoyed. In the heart of the town, there seemed to be a good choice of places to eat and shops nearby. Staff were welcoming. Room had a TV and tea/coffee facilities. If we are flying to/from Stansted early morning/late at night we would stay again. It could benefit from a bit of maintenance, but at the low price we paid this didn't bother us. It is a good budget hotel with a clean bed and bathroom.
