Great central location close to local shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. Excellent bar in the hotel with a welcoming and warm atmosphere. Very clean throughout and comfortable bedroom. Tasty breakfast Very friendly owners and lovely staff too. Would definitely recommend.

We have just spent a five day break at this hotel, the fifth time this year. The location is very convenient for the shops and beach. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very clean There is occasional entertainment in the bar downstairs and very friendly bar staff. Everyone welcome. We can highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We have already booked for next year.

My partner and I decided to visit for lunch we both had a large steak pie but to me it was very small I wouldn’t like to see what the small was like my partner had mash potatoes with his which where full of hard lumps the steak pie was bought in you would think a hotel would have a chef who would make his own surely the hotel could employ a decent chef absolutely poor experience

Apparently under new management. Went for lunch with friends. Pretty shabby inside with threadbare seats but thought we would give it a chance. Ordered our food and had to pay cash as the card machine wasn’t working- my friend said it wasn’t working the last time she came in in the summer. We waited for almost an hour for our food. We eventually asked for our money back as, according to the waitress the chef was “an old woman who was having a slow day”! There wasn’t any problem getting a refund however they had run out of notes so we got our money back in pound coins and 50ps. Not great really! Wont go again.

What a fantastic time we had at The Regal Hotel in Cleveleys. The hotel is situated on Victoria Road West which is full of shops, independent and familiar chain stores. Lots of places to eat/drink as well as gift shops, ice cream parlours and a host of other amenities. At the end of the road is the seafront with the recently upgraded promenade. The hotel has over 40 rooms and we stayed in a beautiful room with an en suite bathroom, couldn't wish for better, comfortable bed, clean room and a very homely feel which is evident throughout the hotel. All the staff are friendly and very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is buffet style so you have what you want, a good selection of cooked items plus toast, cereals, juices, coffees, teas, all fresh each morning. The hotel has recently been taken over and the changes that have been made so far are noticeable, the front of thd hotel has been painted and now looks superb. Changes to the interior include a larger stage area and a video wall at the rear of thd stage which is very spectacular. Entertainment on Saturday 30th was from the stunning vocalist Eryl and for the first time at this venue, the introduction of the Internationally famous Crystal Bawls, who will be appearing on certain evenings at her discretion of course!!! It was a full house and the show went down extremely well with everyone, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric and if you're lucky to be there to see the full show, youre in for a huge treat. The new Regal Hotel will be a great addition to Cleveleys I'm sure and I will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone for such a magical time. Big Hugs John & Alun xxx

On entering the non smoking room , the stench of stale smoke was appalling. The pillows had a disgusting sweaty smell, The pillows were badly stained , with what looked like black mould and other stains. The mattress! Was beyond filthy. It was covered all over in black stains , it looked as though it had been left out next to a skip for a year. . The duvet which was a double, had been folded and put into a single duvet cover, was also covered in disgusting stains , including blood stains, it looked as though it had never been washed. . Absolutely disgusting and unhygienic. The wash basin in the bathroom was badly cracked in several places, the bathroom was something from the 70 s. Yellow bathroom suite, With badly applied sealant around the bath. Stained sealant around the bottom of the toilet.bits of plaster that had fallen off the wall on the floor . Shower curtain stained. Floor covering was some old industrial looking Lino . Room 18 . I did request my money back , the owner:manager agreed with the above and sd the mattress pillows duvet will be replaced , she would have to speak with the director to discuss any refund . Despite several messages to the hotel , no refund given and no response from the manager or director . This review is to warn anyone booking this hotel , before getting into bed check the mattress , duvet and pillows . The reason I did not request another room , is I only found out how filthy the bed was , when I was getting into it, there was no phone in the room to ring anyone , no one on reception . Just the woman who had been singing earlier in the night , I was not aware she was the owner /manager . She looked as though she was tidying up .

We have just arrived back home after 3 days at the regal ,we booked Monday to Friday but came home on Thursday ,our room was very nice but the bar closed at 9 o'clock, I went down to get a couple of beers ,everything was in darkness ,the evening dinner was the same choice everyday ,steak pie or salad this is not acceptable for the money you are charged ,a beer at the bar is £5 10p ,so just over 10 pounds every time you go to the bar ,the staff are very nice ,we made a good few friends while we were there ,this hotel needs to get a grip or close down ,the TV in our room was just 5 channels so not much to watch ,so we got really fed up and just decided to go home early ,if you are looking for a good holiday give the regal a miss it is not really worth the cost ,we will not be going again ,now under new management so it could do with a complete overhaul ,
