Excellent period venue , nice big bedrooms very professional and helpful staff . Great food in nice restaurant. Even hot tub which they deliver glass of Prosecco , Hanna assistant manager along with restaurant staff Shelia and Debbie are really welcoming, friendly and helpful, l must say all the staff great and customer focused. Lavender group offer marvellous offers at prices that you can’t refuse,

First time visit to Lancashire wanted central location for Pendle/walking/plenty of towns and villages to visit. Found all inclusive deal for hotel (part of Lavender Hotel group) £149 per night for 2 with £25 dinner allowance and drinks between 6-11pm included (huge selection). room was clean quite basic but perfectly adequate furniture had seen better days but not a deal breaker. Hotel quiet at this time of year but still nice atmosphere. Food excellent quality £25 gets you nigh on 2 courses. Car park large.Staff very friendly especially Sheila and Debs in restaurant. Easy check in and out. Pendle Hill a struggle but we managed, just felt sense of achievement. Cliheroe really nice too. Loads of places to visit without short driving time. No hesitation in recommending.

Stayed on all inclusive basis. Rooms a little dated but clean. Restaurant furniture, especially chairs could do with being replaced. Food gorgeous; both dinner and breakfast. Upgraded to all inclusive ultra for £12.50 per person to include tea and coffee. I find it a bit unfair and crazy to be honest to have to pay that for a cup of tea when alcoholic drinks are included in the basic rate!! Jamie was really friendly and helpful.... a credit to the hotel. Lavender Group really need to look at the tea/coffee issue as thats ridiculous.

Tale of two halves. This hotel is old, worn, and uncomfortable. I would describe my hotel room as worn out, dirty in places and a little bit of mould in the bathroom. The chairs in the restaurant are like sitting on a commode. There is no padding in the middle, they are also all worn out. The staff in general are happy and helpful though we did notice a huge difference from a fabulous friday service to a miserable Saturday service. Also the food was superb Friday night and shocking on the Saturday night. Our room clean on day two was shocking. We had 3 towels thrown on the bed, that was it. Didn't even get an extra loo roll. Its cheap, but you get what you pay for. My beds been like sleeping on a piece of wood. I contemplated sleeping in my car. Honestly don't know how my back is going to recover. We had rooms 9 and 10. If you like a bargain and dont mind roughing it a bit, I'm sure you will love it. All in all, I will never return. Its just not for me.

Everything was spot on! Beautifully clean, well appointed. pleasant and attentive staff. Excellent food and drinks. We will certainly be back. Big shout out to Debbie who was on breakfast duty helping us to plan the sight we wanted to see and helping us save a couple of quid.

We stayed her last night for my husbands birthday. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Hannah. The hotel is set in amazing grounds. The food was first class. We will definitely stay again

Had my wedding on sat 16th Aug 2025 and I can't thank the staff enough especially Megan who helped us through all the things we needed to do to make our day special and a big sthankyou to Hannah as she was in charge for the day the waiting staff were amazing the food arrived promptly and warm and the food was lovely everyone commented on saying the food was lovely and throughly enjoyed it also thanks to John who was the dj on the night he was great the only thing that let us down was some of the rooms need updating and the water pressure in the shower was a bit poor but apart from that we had an amazing day and the weather was perfect for an outside wedding so all is can say is thankyou to all who was involved xx

We booked the Higher Trapp Hotel for our wedding 28/07/25. Honestly everything was absolutely perfect. Megan was absolutely amazing leading up to the wedding, any questions, any last minute bits I wanted doing, nothing was ever too much. She was amazing! Hannah she set everything up for us and made sure our day was running smoothly, checked in on us both the morning of, same with Megan and made sure everything was going to plan. I couldn't of asked for two better people to help us make our day absolutely perfect. A few of us stayed the night before and that was fantastic we did a pre order for food and we had a few dietary requirements that was not a problem at all. Same with the wedding day. Food was fantastic, service was amazing from all the staff, rooms were lovely and clean. It was just perfect. If I could I'd do that day over and over. So massive thankyou again Megan, Hannah and the rest of the staff at the Higher Trapp. 🤍
