We were a large family party of 27 people spanning ages from 4 to 80 something, and picked the Bridge of Cally hotel for a special family get together. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating from the outset, taking orders in advance and making sure everything was in order. On the day, the set up was perfect. The staff had listened carefully and provided everything we asked for. They checked with us on arrival and were keen to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious - clearly freshly prepared, good quality ingredients. Even with a big choice on the menu, each dish was prepared very well and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was very good, with very courteous, thoughtful staff who went out of their way to provide a good meal and overall experience for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel for food, and hope to return next time I am in the area.

Stayed for one night in room 6 with our dogs. Found room large and suitable for us with the dogs also. Went to restaurant in hotel for meal and was able to take dogs there also which is good. Food was a wide choice but all very salty ( I had Beef Bourgeon and husband had Vension casserole ) Found it quite pricey too for a standard meal with soft drinks only. There is a lounge area to use which was good, this has a pool table, various couches etc and board games. The negative part was the bathroom. Shower in bath which is ok if the shower works, it didn’t. There is not enough water pressure which made it impossible to use. This is a disappointment. Over all not a terrible stay but not the best either.

Stayed at the Bridge of Cally for a wee last minute weekend away and it was a brilliant stay. Staff were engaging and friendly and the food was incredible, its rare for a hotel/restaurant to have so much variety on a menu but for the food to be done so well. The rooms were comfortable, spotless and had a good view of the garden. Would highly recommend

Had an overnight stay here in one of threir dog friendly rooms . From the time we arrived our elderly dog got so much attention, and treats from all the staff we knew it was just the right place. It was spotless , comfortable and did I say, dog friendly. The dinner was excellent as was the breakfast. All served with our dog present and she even got a sausage for her breakfast. The staff are lovely, ample parking and lovely site. Can't wait to go back.

We arrived late because we were on a road trip. Would have been nice to have a scaled down breakfast option before the earliest available slot at 9:15. Coffee to go would be great.

Myself and my wife walked out of this place after an encounter with the most rudest member of staff I have ever met in hospitality this unkempt bearded chap had a terrible attitude and made us feel so unwelcome we intended to have a nice meal and our whole day was tainted after visiting this place a shame as the place looked

Friends and us wanted a break not too far away. This Hotel was ideal. The staff are very helpful and efficient, breakfast was served quickly and was excellent. It’s a bit isolated but there are plenty of small places not far away.

Let’s start with the positives. Food was good, room was comfortable and Wi-Fi worked. Younger staff were friendly and polite. Negatives. Doesn’t open until 12pm, so queueing outside to come in for a refreshment or book a room can be expected. When we cam down fro breakfast we politely asked ‘Hello - Do we need to wait to be seated?” Only to be scowled at with a prompt response of “Well there’s only one table left as you’re the last ones down!” (We arrived at 9.40am and breakfast finishes at 10am - yikes!). When breakfast did arrive my partners bowl was abruptly shoved onto his napkin as he went to lift it from his plate as the waitress (same lady who scolded us for bing ‘last’). Breakfast was good. After we vacated our room we used the spare lounge for a zoom call. Only to be interrupted during the call by same lady who abruptly asked “where’s your room key?” I left the meeting to explain my partner had the key in his pocket and would hand it in shortly b it informed her the room was open. Luckily I have a sense of humour as I actually found her quite funny as she clearly has no idea how to look after guests. She responded to me by saying “Look, I’m not having a go…” which to anyone who has ever heard those words basically means “I’m not best pleased with you”. Would we go back? Yes, because it’s a decent place with some nice staff and pretty good food. Just need to approach with assertiveness if the battle axe is on duty!

This was a surprise getaway for a couple of nights organised by my partner for my birthday, The photos on here aren’t what we saw.. the carpet was greyish brown and dirty, the stairs were a trip hazard as narrow and seemed to slant forward. Bedroom was small and basic, and I dread to think what was on our curtains. Noisy through the night from drains toilets flushing.. Breakfast was average, or is that expensive for the price! The lady who served us the first morning was lovely and friendly On the second morning we made the mistake by going down for breakfast 10 mins early and was told abruptly by some blonde woman that they don’t start serving until 8.30 am! Looked at her watch then carried on talking to her colleague..my bad for good time management. Was it worth the wait, NO!! poached egg was more hard boiled for both me and my partner, and again for both of us the potato scone was rock solid, the microwave must have been in overdrive. We went out for a beautiful meal near one of the lochs for my bday evening, but as we had to drive we decided to have a couple of drinks at the hotel, hmm yup, 9.30 pm and was told the bar was closed.. WTA# .. On a positive note, the weather was better than in Yorkshire.
