Arrived at 1am and had to do a 10 minute walk to Hotel Horitzo which we already knew about. We met a lovely receptionist that sorted out our keys, took our tax payment and did the E200 authorisation on the card. When we we back to the appartments the vending machine had barely any stock and every thing was shut. The sofa bed was not made up, so wearily we climbed into bed after making it. The matress was so thin that the bars from the sofa pushed through and I was in pain and barely slept. In the morning we awoke to a massive stench of drains, the spare pillows did not have pillow cases and there was BLOOD spatters on the curtains. I went back to reception to complain. Another lovely receptionist moved us up to the 8th floor, this time there was no smell, a clean apartment and a comfortable sofa bed. The manager popped in to see us which was a nice touch. I showed him the balcany as the glass divider was cracked and he already knew about it. I did some shopping and we settled in. But there was a big ***** of the kitchen unit missing, no hot water and only one bath towel. Also when I tried to plug the kettle in the base was all melted - really dangerous. Finally I discovered the hob did not work! Not great for self catering I went back to reception in the other hotel (there was no reception at all in the apartment block - just an empty office). They replaced the kettle, towel and fixed the water. But the did not fix the hob and had no spare apartments to move us to, and was very apologetic about it. I filled in the online survey asking for a free meal as I could not cook anything and I was ignored. The area where the apartment block is on the beach, near the caravan parks and is about 15-20 walk (all flat) into the main town. There is a very expensive little supermarket nearby and a bar. But lots of closed bars and restaurants, it was like a ghost town. It maybe because it was April and things werent open yet? The views from every apartment face the sea and they are spectacular. There is a little playground and a couple of nice restaurants about 5 minutes away. Although the staff were genuinely lovely, it was painful to keep trapsing down everytime I discovered a problem. I wouldnt return to these apartments, but may consider staying at the hotel puely based on how nice the staff were? Note: the E200 deposit was back in thr bank account the day after returning.

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived at the venue by the friendly, helpful receptionist. Our apartment overlooked the beach and we watched the sunrise every morning. We had a maintenance issue with the apartment when we arrived which reception sorted very quickly together with sourcing a corkscrew for us on Christmas Day. We had friends staying nearby who were also able to join us in our apartment.

Location is fabulous however once you look past the stunning views and look closely at the furnishings then you start to notice how tired and shabby the rooms actually are! The sofa bed in room 707 was covered in stains, the curtains had holes in them and we’re actually dirty (don’t think they had been cleaned since they were hung) the maiden outside was covered in dirt and dust which we cleaned as we couldn’t put out our towels. I took photos of the room as we were told when we booked in that the hotel charged €200 deposit as we were liable to leave the room in a clean condition. We were dropped off by our transfer company around the corner and told the hotel was just around the corner, when we arrived at the hotel there was a note on the door telling us we must go to the Hotel Horitzo. No map no instructions, not ideal when you have been travelling through the night, in a foreign country, don’t speak Spanish and you have to stop and ask someone if they can help? We did find out where the hotel was some 600 meters away with 4 pieces of luggage in 75 degrees heat! Then we had to trape back and were confronted with a disgusting room. But as Brits we tried to make good and mend, we bought a load of cleaning stuff and stayed the night, however one night was enough on the sofa bed which was the worst nights sleep in my life, another trip down to the Hotel Horitzo and we showed our evidence and asked to be moved and they obliged by asking €20 per night more for room 101. Once again the room wasn’t up to standard but we persevered and cleaned it ourselves, we shouldn’t have been put in that situation as the resort had only just opened and all the rooms should have been pristine imo, the outside of the accommodation was being used as a dog’s toilet per stains on the outside of the building, this should have been hosed down on a daily basis, we won’t be staying here again, I waited for my deposit to be placed back into my account before writing this review

stayed here 1st week in October 2023 self catering studio first off there is no reception repeat NO RECEPTION a sign will tell you sign in at another hotel 5 min away it is if your an Olympic sprinter with a propeller up your a*** for the rest of us its more like 15 min great view of the beach and sea all amenities close at hand the shower water pressure is fantastic but the shower is the size of a postage stamp try washing lower body and you cant not without "bumping" open the door any other way and your lower body's not washed the furniture's very dated and needs updating and some kitchen utensils missing but staying a week you tend to make do

I have just spent the night here, and it was the worse night I’ve spent in an hotel ever. The views and facilities are lovely. I had room 202, a two bedroom apartment. The noise from a discotech next to the bedroom windows was beyond a joke, it started late at night and went on until 5.15am when the music stopped and all night people stood outside shouting and smoking, then when it closed they started shouting and fighting. It was terrible, absolutely no sleep. I could not recommend this hotel or would ever return, the staff should not be putting people in the rooms at this corner, unless it is full, and then should at least let them know about the probable noise from the disco. Appalling DO NOT ACCEPT ANY ROOM ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THIS HOTEL AS YOU LOOK AT IT. You will not sleep!!!

I messaged this appartment the night before arriving. I told them that I'm checking out of a previous hotel & will be arriving for 12pm. Once I arrived I was locked out of the appartment & there's no receptionist. One of the other tennents left the building which allowed me access. I then was able to read a piece of paper to say that the reception is at another building 400m away. I walked down & they said that check in was at 4pm (which is unheard of). I said could you not have told me that, or had that info on your page? They said sorry, that's the time. I said can I have a refund then & I'll go elsewhere, they said no sorry, no refunds. I had to trail my luggage down from the apartment in the baking heat to leave my luggage at that hotel for safe keeping until checkin. Once I got there they said your room is now ready. Then I had to trail it back up again. The advert says one bedroom, but the bedroom that they're referring to is a pull out uncomfortable lopsided sofa bed. I had to phone 8 times today just to get fresh towels & a toilet roll. The receptionist started hanging up on me, won't give me her name & they don't clean the apartments. The toaster doesn't work, nor does the oven. Avoid this place like the plague.
