The restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying in. We liked it that much that we visited 3 times, once for coffee & cake, lunch and dinner. It’s a lovely walk from Bad Gastein along the river and you can either walk back or get the bus. The evening we had dinner we got the bus and the bus back, it takes less than 10 minutes. The welcome and the service we received was first class and the ambiance and surroundings of the restaurant was just so nice and relaxing, a great place to sit and enjoy the fantastic food, the wine and beer was every bit as good. Our expectations were very much met and indeed exceeded.

ROOMS: spacious rooms with a balcony, majority of them have mountain view, other ones have side view on mountains. Bathroom with a shower, there are fridge, coffee machine (capsules are provided), teapot in the room. Bathrobes are provided. FOOD: breakfast is included - it’s a good buffet with salmon, different meat and cheeses, fruits and veggies, patê, corn flakes and different cream cheese and yogurt, bread and pastry. You can also book a HB with a dinner: there is a good restaurant in the hotel (I also reviewed it separately). Or you can have a-la carte dinner in the restaurant (main dish costs ~€18-25) FACILITIES: good wi-fi, spa with a sauna and an outdoor pool, parking zone STAFF: so nice and smiley! Very friendly and helpful. They make your stay excellent and very comfortable

We were a group of 10 friends from Norway who stayed for a week. The breakfast was very good and had everything we wanted. We also had dinner a couple of times and it was incredibly good - everyone was super happy with the food. The rooms were spacious, clean and pretty, and the hosts incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Restaurant Post, Böckstein – absolut empfehlenswert! Wir hatten Wok-Gemüse mit Basmati-Reis sowie ein hervorragend zubereitetes Gansl: außen knusprig, innen saftig. Das Rotkraut duftig, der Serviettenknödel flaumig, dazu Birne, Preiselbeeren und Maroni – ein stimmiges, herbstliches Ensemble. Zum Abschluss drei verschiedene Sorbets: erfrischend und aromatisch. Alles war ausgezeichnet – wir kommen sehr gern wieder. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Super Hotel, ankommen und wohlfühlen und nicht mehr weg wollen. Alles sehr sauber, schöne Zimmer - unseres war neu. Chef kocht selber und das sehr gut, auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker angerichtet. Der Wellness Bereich ist klein und fein. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Die herzlichen Gastgeber haben es geschafft, ein traditionelles Gasthaus mit einem geschmackvollen Spa mit Naturschwimmteich zu erweitern. Obwohl wir am Ruhetag ankamen, sind wir mit österreichischer Freundlichkeit empfangen worden und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Küche überrascht mit herausragender Feinheit. Gleichzeitig kommen die Einheimischen auf ein Bier und ein kurzes Gespräch vorbei. Das junge Paar hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. So schön gut gelaunte Gastgeber zu treffen, die ihren Job gerne machen!
