Bay Hotel Motel

Shared a room here for one night with a colleague - 'a standard triple room' which had three beds. Cost was $180, which I thought on the high side given the age and amenity of the room. It's very much a no-frills sort of place. That said, the room was clean, quite spacious and with good wifi. Bathroom not huge but also clean. No little 'luxuries' like shampoo, conditioner etc. Location also nice and quiet. On the downside, there could have been more powerpoints and the ironing board was one of those ultra-mini ones - a pet hate of mine!

Just ordered food to take away with a 50 minute time to collect. Got there and had to wait an extra 30 mins for the food to be ready; (fair enough considering staff shortages everywhere) however upon returning home, I opened my daughters burger to find a bite had been taken out of the patty! Absolutely disgusted by this so need to warn everyone the poor quality of food being churned out of this place!! Never seen anything like it so would give negative stars if I could!!! Disgusting place so be warned!!! I have taken a picture of this so would post but doesn’t give me the option!! Disgraceful!!

We had a small problem with our room not locking properly but it was quickly resolved. Basic but nice rooms, comfortable beds and great bar attached. It was great for our toddler. The facilities offered such as a pool and Tennis court was nice. We also loved that the shops was only a small walk away.

We both had meals from the ‘lunch specials’ list yesterday complete with a glass each of more than acceptable wine. Both our meals, fish and chicken, were flavoursome and well presented. They were obviously prepared with pride and care. Friendly wait staff as well.
