The Inn at Palo Alto

My family traveled around Panama for 2 weeks and stayed in 5 different hotels. Every place we stayed in treated us with so much care and hospitality. This place had none! It’s unfortunate because the hotel is in a very pretty location. It’s run down but pretty but the owners are uncaring. It’s very obvious they treat their staff badly too because the staff don’t seem to care about your stay either. The buildings are very run down and nothing is being upkept. The website says a free welcome drink and when we asked about it they said they don’t do that. They also offer no bottled water at all. Every hotel we stayed in had free water and they had none. Not even when you arrived after a long day of travel. So anytime we ran out of water we had to make our way into town to get it. It also says there is a Panini bar and they offer no food except breakfast. Very inconvenient for a family after long days of sight seeing. This place just lacked care. The power goes out every night which is normal but there are no flashlights available or lanterns. Nothing helpful here. The worst part was the owner sits at breakfast every morning talking loudly about weird politics and complaining about his staff. This hotel is very misrepresented with lies on their website. We had meals at other places in Boquete and everyone was kind and helpful. So many great places to stay in Boquete. This is not the place.

We absolutely LOVED The Inn at Palo Alto. We had the most incredible stay in the family suite. Everything from the level or service, to the breakfast to the views were amazing. Marcelo helped us coordinate everything we needed from dinner recommendations to transportation and tour bookings. We would recommend this beautiful place to anyone and everyone!

This is a lovely, well cared for hotel. It includes a really nice breakfast and an incredibly helpful staff. The room is spacious and comfortable. The gardens are stunning and the pool and hot tub add a special ambiance to the whole package. Without a car it is,a bit of a hassle getting to and from the center of town - but should not deter you from staying here. There is also a workout room and a beautiful garden area to watch the many birds in the area.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. From the moment we checked in, Jasmine was extremely friendly and helpful. She showed us our room and it was great. We walked the property and the gardens were absolutely beautiful. The next morning, we had a great breakfast and met the gardener. We enjoyed talking with him about the various plants. Then, later, we met more staff to include Marcelo. He was quite friendly and helpful as well. And, on our final morning getting the great breakfast, it was a pleasant surprise as we had omelets made to order for us. We also met the owner. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. We do plan to stay again on our next visit to Alto Boquete!

Large room, super clean, comfy bed, towels changed daily, very good breakfast and a bonus - view of the volcan Barú and waking up at the bird orchestra. The location is great for hiking and taking trips around Boquete, also near the El Pianista trail.

The Best Experience Ever! Love the family that owns it, the staff is second to none. We had an incredible stay! Everyone is lovely and they help you with recommendations, taxis and pretty much anything you need. I can't wait to come back and visit, we are already planning it. The hotel is beautiful beyond your expectations, the grounds are magical, the location is perfect it was truly a dream to stay there.

Amazing stay, one of the highlights of our trip in Panama, the pool and the jacuzzi are perfect after a day of hikes, the breakfast was really good, room comfortable and good bathroom , the location is great as well

Where to even start....the staff, the grounds, the view, the area....all just a complete WOW! The folks running Palo Alto Inn were fantastic. They were always available for recommendations or help. The garden and grounds are absolutely stunning and manicured on a daily basis. After some long hikes and walking in the area, the jacuzzi and pool were a must have. I can't imagine that there is a better place to stay in this area.

Great hotel with amazing view from the hotel rooms and the greatly situated jacuzzi and swimming pool. Excellent and friendly service. Beautiful garden next to the river. Staff speaks Spanish and perfect English. All in all we can recommend it.
