Everything was really good with the hotel, room and everything. Only bad experience, they have a really strict cancellation/modification policy. I wanted to modify my reservation because I had to change my flight for one day earlier, but they did not helped me and charged me for both nights, I mean I was not cancelling the reservation, but for an emergency I wanted to modify it. =..(

A very warm and welcoming hotel. Although the bathroom was shared, it wasn't inconvenient at all; it was very clean. Despite being on a street, the hotel was very quiet. A welcome letter was left next to my pillow upon check-in, which was very thoughtful; I took it home as a souvenir. The small restaurant on the first floor always had cookies and fruit, and you could get your own water and coffee. This was the least hotel-like hotel I've ever stayed in because it felt like home.

A very vintage hotel, conveniently located near New bury. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was spotless. However, being of a certain age, the facilities were a bit outdated, and the wooden floors were quite noisy when walking on them. The breakfast was also very basic; if you prefer, you can try Tatte, which is just across the street. Overall, the flaws don't outweigh the merits. Highly recommended if you're looking for a retro experience.

The room was quite unique, old-fashioned yet with a nostalgic Dead Poets Society feel. The hotel owner was very kind; I actually broke one of the facilities (sorry…), but instead of scolding me or demanding compensation, the owner was concerned and wished me a good night's sleep (the bed was really comfortable). The breakfast was simple but sufficient for basic needs, everything was reassuring, and the location was excellent.

What attracted me most was the rare and cozy interior design; I highly recommend it to anyone who likes this style! The hotel's location is also superb, right next to the beautiful Boston Garden, very close to the upscale Beacon Hill neighborhood and the bustling Newbury Street—all within walking distance. It's truly comfortable; there are no homeless people in this area, and it's extremely quiet at night, allowing for a good night's sleep. The only thing to note is that the bathrooms are shared; about four households share one bathroom per floor, which isn't exactly convenient, and those who are particular about hygiene should consider this. However, this factor is taken into account in the price, so I recommend it to anyone who likes this style.

A very special vintage hotel, formerly a high-end women's club. Located in the upscale Back Bay, it's close to Boston Common and the Charles River, offering a safe and comfortable stay.
