Washington House Hotel

We stayed at the Washington for one night, before the Bournemouth running event! We arrived later than anticipated thanks to good ol traffic but were welcomed warmly! We stayed in room 12 and when we asked if we could leave our car in the car park until 12pm the following day the lady very kindly offered for us to return to our room after our run to shower before leaving (after checkout time I might add!). This was very welcomed and we were very grateful for a shower before a long journey home! I would say the only downside is no option of breakfast but it wasn’t terribly missed as we nipped to the local Tesco express to grab a couple of porridge pots which we heated up with boiling water. The room was pleasant, bed was comfy, clean, the little Touches of shower gels and bottled waters too were also greatly received. Overall I can’t find fault, this is a very well kept hotel in a good location with friendly staff and we would recommend.

Washington House Hotel was a nice place to stay. It’s a short walk from the town and attractions and our room was lovely with the addition of a jacuzzi bath. It was clean & comfortable, and the staff we met were friendly and helpful. I scored it 4 instead of 5 as it’s listed as Washington House “Hotel” but there’s no bar, no dining option or breakfast which is a real shame as there are 2 empty public rooms on the ground floor. Even an option of toast or croissants in the morning would’ve been welcomed.

We stayed here for one night as we were here to watch a comedy gig at the BIC. We arrived 3 hours early and asked if it was ok to car the car in the car park and go in to town first, we were told our room was ready so could check in if we wanted to which we did kindly. We stayed in room 16 and the room was lovely spacious and well decorated and furnished. The bathroom was a great size with a jacuzzi bath and a walk In shower. Tip : The radiator gets very very hot so be careful not to burn yourself as it’s that hot to touch. Nice robes and slippers on the bed lovely touch too. We had a pretty decent sleep and I did have the window open as the room was warm but you could hear the sea in the distance which was nice. For the price we paid it was a very good stay and I can highly recommend it. Thank you for your hospitality.

A short story Lovely clean hotel and rooms, great parking, super comfy beds, friendly staff, easy quiet ‘off the beaten track’ location, but not too far as to be out of reach on foot to get to town. What more can be said, a solid hotel that I would stay in again without hesitation. Owners are doing it all right. Thank you Matt K
