Bowburn Hall Hotel

We were overwhelmed by the friendly staffs and the rooms are decent, clear and modern. Shower is strong and hot, the surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful. I am happy to have chosen the Bowburn Hall Hotel.

My daughter's wedding was held at Bowburn Hall and we had booked the exclusive package. It was an amazing wedding day from start to finish. The entire process, from our first visit to Bowburn Hall to the wedding day itself, was simply first class. The entire team at Bowburn Hall are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. From the general manager to the cleaners and every staff member in between, all worked non-stop for the entire day with a smile on their faces. The exclusive package is exceptional value for money, considering everything included in the package, which also took a lot of pressure away from the organisation of the wedding. Having the entire hotel dedicated to your wedding makes it extra special and the day ran like clockwork with everything kept on track by the staff in a friendly way. We struck lucky with the weather and were able to hold the ceremony outside in the grounds which was fantastic. Food was plentiful and delicious and so many people commented throughout the day about the quality of the food. We have to give a big shout out to Ben for the room decor; he went above and beyond with the room looking beautiful for the wedding breakfast and evening party. We came downstairs the next morning to find staff had worked throughout the night and everything was neatly packaged and stacked together to be easily loaded into cars. Again having the hotel on an exclusive package meant everyone was relaxed and chatting about the day before over breakfast. 10 out of 10 from beginning to end.

Sunday lunch, the whole experience was poor, no table service just bar service which is fine but in an establishment like this you would expect it. The food arrived within a minute of ordering so if you’re in a hurry that’s great, the food came out piping hot what there was of it, trio of meats, was enough for a child and one meat was not meat at all it was just fat! Two roast potatoes which you could barely get through as if they had been cooked and left under heat. Gluten free means no Yorkshire pudding but you pay the same, the veg that came out was just enough for one person and I would say just average, the leeks were terrible. Not one person came over and asked if everything was okay. Safe to say definitely will not return in a hurry.

My husband and I visited Bowburn Hall Hotel for Sunday lunch. As we entered the hotel we were greeted with a lovely smiley face, very helpful and accommodating! We were seated Immediately, the staff were all so good, positive and the service was second to none. We enjoyed the lunch, it was delicious. We will definitely be going back again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went for lunch - the monkfish scampi sounded different, so went for that. Imagine moist chunks of monkfish in a light batter….. I was, but that was nothing like what was on the plate; around six pieces of freezer to fryer flat breadcrumbed and overcooked slithers of fish were served with chips and salad for £25.95. Shame on the chef for thinking it was acceptable to let it come out of the kitchen, and not be put straight in the bin where it belonged.

💯% Perfection. From the 1st phone call to checkout it was handled professionally. Our room was absolutely amazing, our evening meal was delicious as was our breakfast. I booked our room as a birthday treat for my husband. It's one of the nicest birthdays he had. We will definitely be back again. Thank you to all the team. Pam
