I had a new room which was almost but not quite finished. Very comfortable and clean, smallish but fine for me, single. At the back, away from busy road and so quiet. Friendly owner, well stocked bar. Unable to do food when I was there but this is usually available I believe. I had a good 3 night stay with no problems.

Stayed here for a few nights when working in the area the rooms were clean and comfy food was amazing and the owner is very friendly and welcoming very nice and comfy stay highly recommend a visit if not for a stay then definetly worth nipping in for a meal or just a few pints

Stayed at the Croxdale Inn for a couple of nights when in the area for business. The owner is a nice fella who works very hard to run the three elements of the Croxdale Inn (accomodation, restaurant and bar). Room was basic but clean and tidy and had everything you need in a hotel room really. Each night I had a fantastic meal (probably the best Indian food I have ever had) and a couple of pints downstairs. Absolutely nothing to moan about for the price and would definitely visit again.

Perfect stay with my daughter. We stayed 2 nights, the room had everyrhing, shampoo, conditioner, tea and coffee. The room was spacious with a nice clean bathroom. We were out all day and came back to the room cleaned and tidied which was lovely. At only £55 a night this was way more then we expected. The owners even offered to help us take our luggage upstairs and were very friendly and welcoming. We will 100 percent stay here again. Also there is a tesco and Lidl only a very short drive away.

I would advise anyone not to stay here if you are looking for a good nights sleep. There was loud music thumping underneath our room, coming from the party venue, antisocial shouting and screaming outside our room until 12.00 midnight. When I raised this matter with the staff the following day they were unconcerned and denied the time the noise finished. They were unsympathetic, clearly undervaluing the comfort of all their guests.

Our second visit and it did not dissapoint. Excellent value, budget hotel with dog friendly rooms. Lovely owner and staff. Rooms are comfortable, clean and everything works. Good location for Durham and other tourist locations. The Penash restaurant next door is the icing on the cake.

Super experience for 2 nights (family room) x 4 adults plus very clean & all facilities. 3 miles from Durham City centre, bus stop across the road plus taxis available also. Dinner in the adjoining restaurant was super plus the owner & all staff were lovely, friendly & so helpful. Thank you.

What a lovely experience! This is a budget hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely owner who couldn't do too much for us. We had a large room and our dogs were made welcome too. The Penash restaurant was shut, but the chef rustled up fresh lamb and chicken curries - both different, two sorts of rice and poppadoms , which we ate in the bar - probably the best Indian meal we've ever had. We'll definitely be back.
