Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at the beautiful Lindeth Fell. Wonderful setting with stunning views across to Lake Windermere and the fells beyond, wonderful gardens, excellent welcoming staff and delicious food. The hotel had a warm and calming atmosphere which made for a very relaxing break. The public rooms on the ground floor have just undergone a stylish refurbishment. I am not sure how many bedrooms have been refurbished as I stayed in an old style room which was a bit dated (en-suite bathroom was nice) whilst a friend had one that had been updated. Special mention to Harry and the team who were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Had a lovely two night stay at Lindeth Fell. Stayed in Thirlmere which appears to be the smallest superior room but still nice and clean and cosy. The views were stunning. The bathroom with its waterfall shower and underfloor heating was a delight. The staff were welcoming and informative and couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent for both breakfast and evening meal. It made you want to stay longer to get it all.

We had a truly relaxing 2 nights stay at Lindeth Fell just before Easter and what a delight it was. Even though the weather was dull, the views both from our faultless room and from the bar/restaurant were amazing, but what really makes this an outstanding hotel are the staff, who were attentive, pleasant and friendly but all managed to balance this and remain totally professional. The level of customer care we received from all the front of house team was second to none. They also have a very good chef team, and the standard of the food at breakfast and dinner proved this. The menu changed on our second evening and although the food was good on the first evening, the change was a lovely surprise. We will definitely be back.

We had a relaxing two night stay. Dined in the evenings both days. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent. Lovely staff, beautiful room and location. It was possible to walk into Bowness from the hotel although a short stretch is along the road. We caught the car ferry across the lake, £1 each, on foot, to Claife viewing point then walked to Wray Castle and caught the much more expensive tour boat (green route) to Ambleside. Then the yellow route boat back to Bowness. A lovely day out.

Lovely bedroom; big; clean; nicely furnished; excellent bed and bedding. High quality bathroom. Well equipped with coffee machine; kettle; fresh milk and biscuits. Very good breakfast with a huge range of breakfast items. Excellent staff- friendly, helpful and chatty! Dinner was "OK".!

What an absolute treasure this hotel is, hidden well back from the road. Just about finished their refurbishment and how beautiful it is looking. The staff are very attentive, Jake looked after us for most of our stay, but I must admit that all the staff tried to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The hotel is very clean and the bedroom extremely comfortable, the temperature was just right. They have a very good chef and the food proves this, bar well stocked, enabling you to sit back and enjoy your stay. Loved it and hopefully back soon for a second helping. Well done to all the team at Lindeth Fell….

We booked this through a Secret Escape deal, We have always loved coming to the Lakes but this was the first time we came here. And what can I say, we werent dissapointed! We were welcomed by Harry on arrival and shown to our room, We were well looked after by Jake in the restaurant and Nicole on the bar at Dinner who explained all the exciting refurbs the hotel is going through. The bar and restaurant looked amazing great decor, our room was very clean and had everything we needed. We hope to come back in the summer time.

Lindeth is a real hidden gem 💎 my wife and I have returned home after a wonderful couple of days. On our arrival, Jake was very welcoming, he showed us to the beautiful Grasmere room (our favourite) the views of the lake and mountains add to the already beautiful look, the room itself is spacious yet homely, nothing like some hotel rooms in the area. The bathroom is beautiful, a waterfall shower and stunning bathtub. Later, we were shown some of the changes since our last visit by the wonderful Harry, it’s really nice to see the effort the team have put in to the renovations, they haven’t just copied and pasted from modern hotels, they have started to bring Lindeth to a more modern era yet keeping the soul of the house intact. This is our favourite place to visit, the calming atmosphere allows you to relax, the staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is remembered. We are already checking our calendars to book in again, a massive thank you to Harry, Jake and the team for allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay, we will see you again soon ❤️
