The beds in the room are so comfy, tastefully decorated. The old store guest house is a gem of a find, the perfect location for many walks, there is an amazing pub opposite, that serves fantastic pub grub. Matt is such a chilled guy, thanks for a great full English breakfast Matt. We have already reserved dates for March 2026, can’t wait to see you again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in Room 1 which is on the ground floor with a walk-in shower. All very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Despite being close to the road, we were not disturbed at all by any traffic. The Anglesey Arms is about 300 yards away and is fine for dinner. No complaints at all and we would highly recommend. We will certainly book again when in the area.

We felt very welcome at The Old Store House. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Matt was always friendly and happy to recommend places to visit. We enjoyed our freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Fresh milk was always available for you to make your own brews in your room and the small fridge in the sitting room proved useful to keep our lunches in! It is in a great location, easy to get out and about to explore all there is to see in the local area. We would definitely recommend The Old Store House to anyone who wants to stay in the area.

I was made to feel really welcome. The host was helpful, informative and accommodating. Room was comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was relaxing and pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

A lovely roadside inn! Well maintained and cleanly decorated we stayed one night on a road trip across southern England. We had the king room on the third floor. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy, and the breakfast was good. The bed itself is probably a queen size and the room is at the top of the cottage so anyone over 6” beware of curling beams and a slanted ceiling…I am 6”1’ and had no real issues. We loved our stay!
