Very close to a 5* review but honestly it is a bit patchy. (Still here as I write this). Arrived at midday on Sunday with Crystal, short transfer but unnecessarily dropped us off about 80m from the hotel, when they could easily have come to the front door. (Same apparently on the return transfer). Really friendly staff but reception/bar was absolutely rammed with people leaving and my room wasn’t ready - had to wait nearly 5 hours to get into the room (around 5:20) and another hour to take skis and boots to the ski-room. The ski room is across the underground car park and is basic - unheated lockers and limited space. Very handy for the slopes though. Room is lovely with loads of space and very clean, mini fridge but really limited on plug sockets (only one useable one). I asked for a quiet one which I was given (opposite side to Harrolds bar) but still quite noisy from within where you could hear a lot from neighbouring rooms and the corridor. Really enjoyed the food - buffet anti-pasti and then served primi and segundi from a choice of 3 dishes for each - 1 meat, 1 fish and 1 veggie. Not everyone’s taste though. Buffet dessert was excellent but went quickly. Good value wine. Breakfast was lovely but the same every day although there’s not much extra you could do. Bacon and Scrambled eggs available (didn’t try) alongside cereals, traditional continental and lovely pastries. Ski slopes directly up a flight of stairs from the ski-room so genuinely ski-in, ski-out. The instruction (pre booked with Crystal) was good and a big variety of slopes, mostly blue and red. Weather was patchy and very icy on the Friday but still good skiing every day. Saturday busy but not unreasonably. It’s a long way (0.8 miles) from town and the nearest shop and they are closed all afternoon. Spa is ok - but located right away from the rooms so needed to walk right through the hotel in spa-gear or change in a very unpleasant locker room for the gym. Only included Monday to Thursday but I honestly don’t think everyone that used it on Friday and Saturday paid the €25 each day. Hammam (steam room), 2 small saunas, a Roman sauna (never see the point) and a nice pool. Pool (and honestly whole experience) dented by the amount of noise made by the kids in the pool who are allowed in all the time it’s open. Overall a lovely stay, I can’t fault the staff in any way they were all superb and the location is amazing for skiing (less so for town) I would definitely stay here again
