Garni Hotel VIRGO

It may have been because it was my first apartment, but it was inconvenient because there was no reception service like a hotel. The hotel and reception are completely different places, but there was no prior information and only the reception address was posted at the entrance, which was a bit awkward for those who can't read Slovak. The accommodation is clean, the space is very spacious, and the room has props and windows like a princess room.

Recently renovated place, in a quiet street and in the immediate vicinity of the historic center. Room furnished in a basic but clean way. Comfortable bed. Bathroom furniture practically non-existent, also the bathtub does not have a glass tub wall, to facilitate the shower without flooding the floor of the same. Courteous staff. Good international breakfast both sweet and savory.

Our stay at this hotel was a huge disappointment. The room we were given (number 202) had an unclean bathtub and large stains on the couch. The photos did not match the reality. In addition, the room was full of unusual insects, which we discovered behind the bed, behind the couch and on the bed. My girlfriend had visible bites all over her body. Another unpleasant surprise was the technical problems. The key in the bathroom could not be turned and it was not possible to lock the door, as well as switch the shower in the bathtub. However, we were most disappointed with the communication with the management. We did not receive a response to our subsequent emails. This lack of response and lack of interest in solving guests' problems is unacceptable. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we do not recommend this "hotel" to anyone who expects at least a basic level of cleanliness and service. / Our stay at this hotel was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we do not recommend this "hotel" to anyone expecting at least a basic level of cleanliness and service.
